Yes.. But I don't think God intended it to be smoked lol... But Jesus drank alcohol.. the key is moderation.. don't get too drunk to the point that you don't know what you're doing.. or too high that you can't think too clearly.. though weed fucks you up less so smoke all you want lol

Weed grows from seed made by the great creator, alcohol is made by a fermentation process invented by the great creator and used by the creators worst creation.....mankind.

I really dont think god cares in my opinion. As long as you dont let it come between you and God it wouldnt matter. God really only cares as long as you repent of your wrong doing and believe in him. But thats what I believe...do whatever feels right.

Amen, brother. AMEN!
Anyway, smoking or drinking are not right or wrong by itselves. Its what YOU do when drunk or stoned that is right or wrong.

I couldn't tell you what God says, I've never talked to him. lol. But as far as your mom telling you your going to hell, that's just outrageous. When her judgment comdemns her, maybe she'll learn that a little open-mindedness can go a long way.

These ought to shake Momma up! Maybe even make her THINK!
Was Jesus a Stoner?: The Hempire - [cannabis, legalise] (http://www.thehempire.com/index.php/cannabis/printer_friendly/854/)
(very long, but a good read)
Marijuana and the Bible (http://www.marijuanalibrary.org/mj-bible.html)
(Tell her the Coptics are a middle Eastern/African branch of Christianity- they also claim to have the Ark of the Covenant.)
Cannabis and the Christ: Jesus used Marijuana (http://webpages.charter.net/sn9/religion/christpot.html)
(This one is GREAT!)
None of these are "shorties", so load up the paper and get your printer warmed up! I do so love to "shake the cages" of over-zealous Christians! Sometimes, they even begin to see the "bars". Here's to Momma getting enlightened!- Granny:hippy:

First of all, dot believe anything that is in the bible, because it was made up by people to create order.
Second, in the bible it says jesus used cannabis oils in medicines and shit. And i mean his blood is wine, so he's tanked!

God put weed here to connect with him. Try talking to God sober, then blaze and talk to him. When I talk to God blazed I feel like he is right there with me, and I can talk to him like he was anybody else. I also feel like he is listening to everything I say as i say it, instead of a message that i'm sending up to him that he may or may not here.

Indeed! Some time ago i had an interesting experience. I had stayed 5 days without smoke, and was expecting how high i would be when i smoked again. Then, i smoked, become VERY high and then... i remembered my sick mom, my dad, my sister, and a lot of people i like. Usually i almost never think about them, as i am rather cold-hearted. Anyway, that day i was SO stoned that i felt with amazing sharpness a surge of care for them. So, i prayed for them. I spent the most part of my high praying for people i know. I remembered a lot of people, and remembered there is a lot of people i cared about. So i prayed for all of them.
Later i become somewhat disappointed for what i thought would had been an waste of the high. But at that time it seemed the only right thing to do, and i dont regret for doing this. After praying i felt SO good, kinda relieved... I think God really listened me.
And there is people who says weed is a devils thing... poor misguided souls...

wether or not you smoke weed or drink alcohol does not get you to hell (jesus did not drink wine it was unfermented wine which is grape juice) for those of you that think cannabis is even mentioned in the bible i sure would appreciate you point it out to me cause i ain't never seen it...back to my point the only way not to go to hell is to ask and recieve jesus christ as your personal savior

Why read the Bible? Just see what Jesus said himself:
YouTube - Jesus Smoking Marijuana In Ottawa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rb55tIL7r74)
hehe ;)
It does say in Timothy 1 4:4 "For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer."
I hate when I hear about over protective parents like that, my parents never were like that, hell, all my friends always wanted to get high at my place because my parents were pretty loose with stuff like that. My mom still tried to make me feel like it was bad or dangerous, she would go on the internet and print out a bunch of biased crap about the harmful effects of marijuana and leave that in my room.
Now I print out pages of data showing how marijuana helps fight against my Crohn's disease for some payback :smokin:
You could show her a list of diseases marijuana has been shown to help treat and then ask her how a drug that can do so much good could possibly be considered evil by God.

thats a good one : )
i like this one becuase its in genesis and on the first page of the bible, the wording changes slightly from bible to bible but it all means the same thing
"Genesis|1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and HERB YIELDING SEED AFTER HIS KIND, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD"

Yo your general perception of god is driving me insane just from the ignorance of it all..its not like an if..then thing. Gods not gonna be like you drank and smoked now you must PAY mwhahahaha. But I have read from masters that drugs will cause a slower vibration which is what hell is, heaven is high vibration.

I don't want this to turn into a "my way is best" argument! We should all cooperate and try to help others on their path to enlightenment, even if they walk a different path than ours.
"There are many paths up the mountain, but the view from the top is the same." Old Chinese proverb
We all have to find our own way up that mountain, and my path is not your path- nor does it need to be. Finding your own path is important. Accepting other's paths as different, but as valid as your own, is equally important. Most paths go up, some appear to meander around at the same level, and a few are deliberately heading downward.
I am Wiccan. My best friend is a devout Christian. We are both wise enough to see the beauty of each other's path and respect the other's choice. The way we view "the Divine" is a personal choice, and since each one of is unique, each of our views is also unique. Each of us feels that our view of "the Divine" is correct and it IS- for ourselves!
Pure-I agree that most "drugs" just bring out your "lower self". Marijuana is far more complex in its effects on the psyche- it can bring out aspects of the higher or lower self, depending on setting, dosage, strain and intent- so it should not be classified merely as a vibrational-lowering "drug". Then there are the medical aspects- it's easier to think clearly when you aren't in pain! I have found it has a positive place in my path. - Granny:hippy:

I agree completly... unfortunately most people dont think as you, and therefore there is so many discussions, conflicts, and even wars caused by different religious views... sad but true...
The world would be a FAR better place if everybody could be as wise as you.

I prefer to think the weed brings forth your inner self. If you have an evil nature, weed will make you more evil. If you have a good nature, weed will make you more good.
And, of course, your intent while using the weed (or any psychedelic) makes a great difference too... If you use it with good wishes, seeking wisdom and enlightenment, im sure you will find it. But if you only want to be driven out of your mind, or be crazy, im sure you will.
(Thats one of the reasons why i think mixing weed and booze usually produce bad results... booze definitively is not a good thing... and maybe the weed resents of being mixed with such impure thing... but that is only my thought.)
I think just saying "drugs lower the vibrations" is a bit of generalization... Like what the government says "all drugs are bad", "weed is as bad as heroin", and so. Maybe some "drugs" really does it, but im sure there is some psychedelic substances which can enlighten you. And i think an enlightenment could be a good thing, not a lowering/hellish thing.

Yea personally I agree with you, I believe marijuana can be used as a tool to rise, but not from direct usage. Like I wouldent get high to meditate or anything, but there are specific lessons which can only be learned while :stoned:.
