TYLER, Texas - A one-time Texas drug agent described by his former boss as perhaps the best narcotics officer in the country plans to market a how-to video on concealing drugs and fooling police.

Barry Cooper, who has worked for small police departments in East Texas, plans to launch a Web site next week where he will sell his video, ??Never Get Busted Again,? the Tyler Morning Telegraph reported in its online edition Thursday.

A promotional video says Cooper will show viewers how to ??conceal their stash,? ??avoid narcotics profiling? and ??fool canines every time.?

Cooper, who said he favors the legalization of marijuana, made the video in part because he believes the nation??s fight against drugs is a waste of resources. Busting marijuana users fills up prisons with nonviolent offenders, he said.

??My main motivation in all of this is to teach Americans their civil liberties and what drives me in this is injustice and unfairness in our system,? Cooper told the newspaper.

Cooper said his Web site should be operating by Tuesday.

As a drug officer, Cooper said, he made more than 800 drug arrests and seized more than 50 vehicles and $500,000 in cash and assets.

My school's NORML chapter showed this film last semester. Good stuff all around, makes you even more paranoid about cops. If thats even possible.

Good for him! Nobody needs to be sent to jail for smoking pot, and as for the really nasty drugs; I think it's more important to put all our resources into taking down dealers and producers, not punishing those who made a wrong health choice. When will this continent wake up and realize this is a public health issue, not a matter of criminality and legislating morality?

I hope this gets tons of publicity...from someone who threw people like us in jail for years...calling for legalization because it's the best way to solve it...

The video actually contains footage of his busts from inside his Police cruiser. He goes back through and points out every aspect of the bust, from driver mistakes to Police tactics. THEN he goes through a car and shows the best and worst places to hide your stash. My personal favorite involved rolling a Joint and storing it in a fast food straw mixed in with wrappers. Crafty bastard.

i loved how during the b-roll footage during the interview with this guy, msnbc showed footage of the DEA going in drug lab houses with gas masks and bio-hazard suits on.

kind of goes along with the idea that many people lump all drugs together in the same category, regardless of type/potency or effects. probably the biggest issue facing legalization (of marijuana).

For every action theres an equal and opposite reaction, right?

So by providing us with this video, how to avoid busts, Cops will just as equally watch this video, and figure out how to bust us with these new methods.

Ofcourse, if somehow this video gives methods that lets the law be on our side, then fuck what I just said.

??It outrages me personally as I??m sure it does any officer that has sworn an oath to uphold the laws of this state, and nation,? Sanders said. ??It is clear that his whole deal is to make money and he has found some sort of scheme, but for him to go to the dark side and do this is infuriating.?

ive been around for awile and in a nut shell, if you look guilty, you are guilty.
make sure your car is cool, no broken lights ect..... have good air freashners

dont have your weed fall out when your getting info. like insurance ect....
do the speed limet, I know cool cars and fast lanes is fun, but you will pay.

my dad was a city cop, and my cozs, is a state trooper, he said if your car
looks like a piece of shit, they will look for a reason to pull you over, because
they figure you dont have incurance ect..... now once they got you pulled over, there looken.

I have been following comman sence now for years and I dont get pulled over
simply put dont give them a reason'.
Ill say it again dont give them a reason, if you rely on luck, it will run out..

just a little advice from uncle john.

i've been amazingly lucky, i've gotten pulled for speeding, stupid shit like taking the inside lane when makin a right. And in my town they crack down on dui alot cuz its a college town, so if you're underage and out late or just out late period you get pulled.
I had to run one time when i was drunk, i didn't do anything bad but i was runnin expired tags and i ran outta gas right at a green light, a cop pulled out behind me fast and i stalled like 3 times trying to make the turn. i made it right as some cars got behind me from the light changing, so it looked like i was trying to lose him, so i hauled ass and lost him by turning off my lights, it was snowing lightly but it was twilight so he couldn't see me.

It may have been reckless but i could do without that felony.

anyways always act innocent. thats the only advice i use, act natural and you'll avoid a ticket just about every time. thats not the first time i've had to avoid the 5o and had i been pulled it wouldn't have been the first time while i was drunk. Cops are easy if you don't smell like anything and are 100% coherent, which is easy for me when im not sober.

um can anyone tell im high?

anyways, never been busted was pretty good the only useful thing was how even if a dog isn't alerting to something the trainer can make them false alert just so they can get probable cause to search you. all the other stuff was obvious, how they actively profile everyone, its common sense.

hidden compartments sucked. an idiot could think of something better, they just catch the ones from mexico. mexicans don't have as much stuff to use to modify a car. id hide my weed in an airtight container on the top of my car, like those shitty plastic camper things on suv's. i've never seen an officer lift up their dog to smell up there.

Do you mean like having those type of stickers on your car to make it look like you're an anti-pot type of person? I could see it being a good tactic to avoid trouble with the law, but at the same time isn't it kind of supporting the enemy by putting more of that stuff out there? Like sacrificing what you believe in.

I hate how sometimes it sounds like they are laughing at him. He has good points and he is totally right about rapists and phedophile's restrictions with their licence and what not compared to those arrested with possession.
Congradulations and kudos to him for actually appearing for an interview... I don't think many people would do that.

I believe Mr. Cooper has shared a lot of his information with the public for free. He is a true advocate for Cannabis policy reform. Mr.Cooper is currently running for Congress in Texas District 31 as a Libertarian. I do not care how much he makes on his videos the information is priceless.

Ah yeah I remember seeing an interview with that guy a while back...
Haven't seen his video...

but one I have seen a couple times, an oldie but a goodie, is BUSTED: The Citizen's Guide to Surviving Police Encounters (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqMjMPlXzdA)

I'm guessing that both videos would pair together nicely.

that video pisses me off so much, just because of the interviewers they are so ignorant, i just want to slap the shit out of them. Barry Cooper is a great man, people need to listen to him. Wendy Murphy is a freakin idiot. Shes the prosecutor that argues with Mr. Cooper in that video.

Heading to court September 12th for my paraphernalia and simple possession of marijuana charges. The possession charge is most likely getting dropped since he found the bud in the ashtray and then only arrested two of us when there were four of us in the car. Had my pipe and grinder on me so that charge is going to stick, but the dumbass didn't have consent to search the vehicle in the first place so the driver is going with me to court as well to state so. Plus I got a pretty good lawyer that's already got my other friends out of some bigger shit than this with the same Judge.

So it looks like I'm going to keep on smokin'

I saw something about it on this board, tried to reply but couldn't find it.

I'm a bit pressed for time at the moment, so just started a new thread.

Here's the deal: Never Get Busted Again | Save Thousand in Legal Fees (http://www.nevergetbusted.com)
I watched the clips and can't really determine what the hell this guy is doing. Is he helping? Is he part of some conspiracy? He's a FORMER cop, so is he trying to get back at law enforcement somehow? And if so: are we the beneficiaries?

The clips that I saw were fairly simple advice, stuff most of us do anyway, such as "only carry with you what you can eat. If you see the blue and red lights, swallow it." (I've followed this rule for years and never been caught, although my car was searched.)
Then again: if the DVD is for sale, for profit, then he likely won't give out the most sage advice on previews.
I'm interested in hearing my fellow tokers thoughts on this...hope all of you have a beautiful and blessed day.

JaySin
02-23-2009, 02:38 PM
lol, I've contemplated the conspiracy thing too. Damn weed makin me paranoid.

He seems legit. The last I heard he was doin cop busters. Trying to get them for illegal search and seizures at "grow sites". He had one "raid" on a dumby house, but I haven't heard whether it actually landed anyone any punishment for false information leading to a search warrant.

I'd like to think that he is genuine and really did get sick of throwing innocent tokers in jail. I wonder what his next move will be...

The way I see it, all of this activity around trying to lock people up over marijuana, cannabis or whatever you want to call it, is one of the biggest frauds perpetrated on the American people, and the people of the world. And I for one refuse to live in fear any longer. :D If I have to fear my government over marijuana then I no longer live in a free society where I make the major health choices in my life, not the fucking corrupt government.
