I was digging through my parents old junk and happened to stumble on this old high times magazine from 1982. Sorry about the crappy scanning job and I can't figure out how to crop for the life of me but you get the point. Hard to believe this stuff won awards huh? No wonder we get so stoned now days.

'cause back in the eighties we used to joke about the crappy pot back in the seventies...
That's gonna be straight land race sat- 16 weeks to finish and it'd be twenty feet tall. Totally differant plant- Admittedly, the % of the delta-9 isomer in today's plants is higher, but so's the cannabidinol... and the delta-8 isomer has been washed out entirely...
"...and we knew who we were then-
dope was dope, Afghans were freinds...
Mister we could use a man like
Jimmy Carter again...
Didn't need no hydro nutes
Didn't keep our lights in tubes...
Back in the day the cops were rubes...
Those were the days..."

That bud actually looks good, I bet it was. I think the bioggest problem back then was drying and curring. They didn't use to pretty it up like we do today.
