Ok.. I haven't emptied my kif catcher in a while. It is one of those little compartments at the bottom of your grinder that simply unscrews to reveal it's captured kif. Unfortunately mine for some reason does not simply screw off anymore! I think its a combination of the opposite turning from the grinder section making the catcher tighter and the sticky kif in between the screwing parts. The area where the lid touches the compartment looks almost invisible as it is so tightly screwed.
I have already tried heating the lid part under hot water for a few seconds to unscrew it.. but this has been unsuccessful. I have also tried using things for better grip.. ie a towel. I thought about actually just cutting the kif catcher mesh open... but maybe thats not the smartest thing to do.
Does anyone have any suggestions... it would really help as I would like to smoke that bit of my herb now!:stoned:

Some times mine gets stuck and all it takes is a little bang on the table to loosen it. Nothing to hard that would do damage. If that doesnâ??t work then some channel locks.

Take some pictures maybe we can give better suggestions. I don't think heat would help cause its not resin. But just try more brute force.
Tell us if you fix it.

Do you have a metal grinder? Because if you do then heating it will just make the metal expand and make it harder to unscrew. I would try cooling it if I were you and if that doesn't work then I will think of something else.

One of those strap type oil filter wrenches might do it.

ok... water doesn't work
i tried smashing the crack with a screwdriver and hammer but that wasn't going anywhere..
i cant really be bothered to buy a wrench or vice grip... so.... i have decided that i will wait until its full to overflowing and destroy the mesh. I will buy a new one after that.. one that doesn't f1uck up.
