just wondering if the dark purple leafs on my plant from deficiency or just genetic

Likely from cold temps but the POTENTIAL to develop purple leaves in cold weather is genetic.

well maybe its dark brownish purple looking,my cab only get as low as 65 degrees could that temp make it change colors

smokybear- 65 degrees can give you purple but I'd like to see pics- are the leaves glossy and healthy, and is the purple even? Or are they blotchy, dull, or curled?

My girlfriends cousin lets his plants turn purple before he harvests... like he will literally let them grow till they get hit with about 2 frosts... lol i think its a stupid thing to do I have never seen any of his crops or anything but he swears by it for some reason.. I always heard that frosted plants have extremely harsh smoke but if you can get the color to turn but keep the plants healthy that would be cool to look at...
