which rappers do you all prefer?? im sure it varies, but my friends and i were talking about this last night.
so do you prefer the stuff up north (ie- biggie, 50 cent)
or south (ie- young jeezy, lil wayne)

or do you love em both?

For me, the East Coast for be my favorite. Artists from New York have the skills that bring it to that next level. Old school West Coast was great, and Game brought back that sound a bit, and Dre and Snoop still doing it...and they have a big underground scene. As for the South, I'm not big on them too much...there are a few great ones that I like a lot, but most of them are jokes IMO.

I'm not too big into the gangsta rap, but I like underground hip hop. I'd have to say I like northern raps a little better for 2 reasons...

1. Southern rap gets repetitive and annoying

2. We got a pretty good hip-hop scene here in Minneapolis. Slug of Atmosphere hails from here, along with the whole Rhymesayers crew, as well as Doomtree with P.O.S. and such, there's a lot of other midwest rappers coming up lately too.
