I ran on to a receipe for mite control that involved using epsom salt, I know it is good for Magnesium def, but bugs? Anyone heard of this? If you are using epsom salt, how much do you add to your water for a folar spray?
I have one strain that is in need of a mag boost, and always looking for anything to control the dreded borg!:smokin:

the bible says use a 2% solution for foliar feeding, which is 2 tsp(10 ml) per 2 cups(about 500 ml)

I would not use Epsom salts for mite control. That's my personal opinion- I have an almost irrational fear of overdosing on micros lol!! :D
Stick with the classics... neem, ladybugs, etc.

I'm with everyone else- can't see how MgSO4 would do anything to mites- unless it functions as a laxative for mites, too. Imagine your mites shitting themselves to death. :D

I would not mind them shitting themselves to death as long as it does not affect the taste. I found anouther old cure, buttermilk and wheat flour, anyone tried this mite killer? I am at war with these little bastards. I have sprayed and sprayed with various soap oil combos, some expensive ones too! Prevention is worth way more than a pound of cure in this case.

Man is that ever true. Gotta keep 'foreign' plants and soil out of a 'clean' op and and keep it from getting bugs by making sure your clothes/shoes etc are bug free... vacuum often along the path to the grow op, can help a bit.
I've used the 'Sorcerer' brand miticide before- and only have had to use it once. Good thing, too, as the maker advises using it only once a year to avoid mites building a resistance. Follow the instructions (http://www.pestgenie.com.au/label/farmoz/SORCERER%2018_16103565.pdf) for food crops. If that brand isn't available in your area, look for something with the active ingredient 'abamectrin', which is also known by several other names (http://www.pesticideinfo.org/Detail_Chemical.jsp?Rec_Id=PC33818) in other parts of the planet.

may kill bugs, but will bring mold.
