Think about it. We live in an overpopulated world with millions of babies that need help. If we all adopted kids in need instead of creating our own we would save helpless childrens futures while at the same time relieving the world from the overcrowded state it's in and alleviating the problems that the fucked up people that don't don't know how to wrap it before they tap it cause by filling up the world with kids they don't know how to take care of. Meditate on that for a little while...

theoretically if every marriage of 2 adults produces 2 children, the population would remain roughly constant, other things aside (such as early deaths, children born out of wedlock, etc.)
i think i want to have 3 kids if/when a family is in my future. i could live with 2, 3, or 4 though, i dunno, depends on what she wants.

None for me. Best thing I never did.
Edit: I was never interested in raising others people's kids, either.

spread the seed mang. sure what you say is nice but i know i want to have a child with my own DNA. a legacy i guess.
although there are plenty of children that need taking care of, does that mean i shouldn't be able to have my OWN child because someone else screwed up? how bout everyone takes care of their own in the first place

Only one for me and my husband. Would have liked more, but for population growth reasons I'm happy with one. One of my husband's colleagues just had his seventh child, which I think is nuts.
I found the information at this link interesting. There are a few areas that are experiencing negative population grown and some which, within the next decade, will have negative growth as a result of sub-replacement fertility rates. They did a good series about this subject within the last year or so on PBS.
