My bong eats my weed :(

It's just a simple glass bubble based bong. It's also a slide, which I guess is why it eats my weed. The bowl isn't too large or anything, it just seems like once the weed has been structurally weakened a little bit, it kinda implodes into the stem... Is there any method to prevent this? Recently I've just been dropping the used weed into a spoon and finishing it there.

Also, has anyone really ever smoked tobacco from a bong? I guess legally we all 'have'...

Just make sure that what you put in there isnt small enough to get sucked into your bong. (its happend to me). and yeah iv hit tobacco out of a bong and it sucked hurt my lungs like a bitch.

exactly why i dont do it, but if you have a hookah i recommend trying some shisha out of it, very nice :jointsmile:

like others said use a screen or just dont break your weed up, just throw a big nug in there...i usually just throw a big nug in my bong bowl or if i am breaking my weed up i make sure its nice and sticky and i can make a ball with it

You have to invest in a one-hitter, whether it be a bowl or a dugout. You should be able to find a one-hitter bowl at a headshop.

I have metal screen's in my glass pipe, and I had them in my old dead bong, because the slide had such a huge hole for sucking through that everything just ended up falling through... couldnt even resin the bowl up and get it to be safe.

break it up naturally i had the same problem i have a huge bowl and it used to pull through all the time but i found this method of breaking the weed pinch between the tips of the index and thumb and pull. do not break up any further!

Shisha is just tobacco for hookahs, except it has molasses and some kind of flavoring in it. Also, it tastes amazing.

1. Shit falls through them. I would find little pieces of pot in the bottom of my glass pipe constantly.

2. Dumping the ashes meant dumping the screen. I dont want to have to put the damn screen back into the pipe every time I go to empty the bowl.

I dont like resin in my pipe, since there is no filter for the nasty shit, so I keep it almost spotless. With no resin to hold it in, the jack always falls out when ever the bowl is emptied, or if/when it gets knocked over.

A metal screen fits pefectly into the bowl, and it doesnt come out until I pull it out.

iono man, never had problems. i must say though, ive used the jack style screens a long time and recently switched to the daisy style with the little knob on the bottom to hold it in place. they work great and seem to fit the hole a little better. and yes, i dump it all out and clean it all everytime i smoke, but no big deal. dump it in an ashtray, wipe out the bowl and put the screen back in.

Glass screens are exactly what you need. I don't know what some people here are talking about, it definitely prevents pulling through without ruining the taste.

But hey, what do I know. I've only used glass screens religiously for the last month.
