Miracle Gro Ultra Bloom 10-52-10

High all, was wondering if i could use this on my plants.. growing outdoors, also how much should i use after mixing ? said 1 tbl spoon for a gallon. i just recently topped my plants also.. the only nutrients they ever had was a miracle grow spike.. this was at least 4 weeks ago ty in atvance :)

I don't advise using the spikes, or anything that is 'time-release' - you don't want much available nitrogen during flowering - if you use that Miracle-Gro, use it only once every 2-3 weeks, and dilute it to half-strength - better yet, apply it foliarly, then you can't overfertilize as easily (advise 1/2 tablespoon per gallon) - you will now receive lots of "NO Miracle-Gro" screamers - I've used it for 40 years, BUT, it is easy to overdo it, since it is so strong - that's one big reason it gets such a bad rap - (plants can't tell chemical nitrogen from organic nitrogen, either, so don't fall into that myth) - the 'designer' ferts used by most of us, are generally much weaker, so less over-fert happens - let the flames begin ! :smokin:

I personally don't care for MG simplly because of what FreeWheelin' said,TO STRONG. Don't get me wrong it works great if you know how to mix it right for your plants, I've used it with great results. It takes patients that's all and very small doses. I have noticed before that if you don't flush at the end and stop fertilizing a few weeks before harvest my plants had a slight chemical taste but that was early on in my growing experiece and have learnd my lesson since, DON'T OVER FERTILIZE!:greenthumb::weedpoke:

i use all purpose 24-8-16 for vegging plants in dirt.

those are bloom ferts, find something for veg. like celests uses. use what you have closer to flowering time.
