The Peter Broomal String Band does a Salute to the Sixties Music. Blue collar guys who spend each weekend sewing beads and feathers on to their Gawdy costumes. This as well as practicing their dance moves, all to do a 5 minute show in front of the judges on New Years Day! Imagine the Sopranos meet Stonewall
:hippy:
See... weed is harmless. and funny...

Maybe we can get mtv to tell everyone that its cool to care about things like nature, and astrology
and they can tell everyone to have nothing but love for everyone else
and that all the world really needs to be happy is peace
maybe THEN....more hippies would come about...causing a huge revolution of world peace....at least in America...

Hippies are a myth. There was only one real Hippie, Emmett Grogan, founder of the Diggers in the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco, California. Grogan died in 1978.

That's heresy!
But Bob Denver did do a good version with Maynard
G. Krebs on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis show. He was working as a Catholic Scool teacher, and researched the Beats. Ironically, he needed medical marijuana when he got older, and was busted for mailing it to, or getting in the mail from, another former cast-member of Gilligan's Island. I remember one episode of Dobie Gillis where he played a cool jazz trumpet, trouncing Dobie, who was playing a gimmicky triple-neck guitar, in a talent show.
