Eva Cassidy singing Over The Rainbow. Theres one part in the song where she is gettin after it and always gives me goosebumps or chokes me up. She died young a while back and when I hear that song I always think how she should still be around.

Woodstock. By Joni Mitchell. Also performed by James Taylor, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, and Mathews Southern Comfort.
It doesn't even matter which version.
Whenever I hear that song it reminds me of what we as a society have lost, and what we could have become. I can't even sing along, because my voice cracks every time.
Also... I Had a dream, by John Sebastan. Also performed by Joss Stone. Again, either version will do...

I had a dream last night
What a lovely dream it was
I dreamed we all were alright
Happy in a land of Oz

Why did everybody laugh
when I told them my dream
I guess they all were so far
from that kind of scene
Feeling mean

I heard a song last night
What a lovely song it was
I thought I´d hum it all night
Unforgettable because

All of the players were playing together
And all of the heavies were light as a feather
All I remember is a feeling tomorrow
And as I recall the rest will just follow

I had a dream last night
What a lovely dream it was
I dreamed we all were alright
Happy in a land of Oz
Happy in a land of Oz

The District Sleeps Alone Tonight by The Postal Service gets me good.

You seem so out of context
In this gaudy apartment complex
A stranger with your door key
Explaining that I am just visiting
And I am finally seeing
Why I was the one worth leaving

Anna Begins by The Counting Crows, It goes from being kinda sad sounding, to upbeat and it kills me.

My friend assures me, "It's all or nothing."
But I am not really worried I am not overly concerned
You try to tell yourself the things you try to tell yourself
To make yourself forget I am not worried
"If it's love," she said, "then we're going to have to think about the consequences."
She can't stop shaking
I can't stop touching her and...

This time when kindness falls like rain
It washes her away and Anna begins to change her mind
"These seconds when I'm shaking leave me shuddering for days," she says
And I'm not ready for this sort of thing

The drugs don't work by the Verve, just a breathtakingly beautiful song. If i'm not mistaken Richard Ashcroft wrote it while his father was gravely ill, giving it even more poignancy

"All My Ghosts" by Frank Black - Album "Frank Black and the Catholics"

I was driving across the valley floor
Going past a scene of gore
Something that had ended here
Then I stopped in at a porno store
And I found among the pictures there
A vision that was very fair
Just a moment from yesteryear
All I could do was stare
Guitar solo

Between "stare" and the guitar solo - gets me every time. Chills like you wouldn't believe.

Why? I honestly couldn't say for sure. Maybe cause I like porn? Probably because the imagery of seeing something raw, honest and beautiful from an earlier age blows my mind. Frank writes the perfect pop rock song, sweetly building tension throughout the bridge and kicking my ass with guitar at the end.

Oh yeah, the books are great... Saw them live a couple months ago, cause I had to write a review about the show for a class. I didnt know anything about them going into the show. It was an experience, crazy to watch just two guys on stage and hear all those sounds. I do remember "Don't even sing about it" being one of my favorites. I purchased the dvd with the videos synched up with the songs like they use during thier performance. I wanna watch it on shrooms some time. I also bought Lost and Safe... They're a cool band, different sound, interesting stuff

The Great Gig in the Sky, by Pink Floyd....Clare Torry's vocals are phenomenal, mesmerizing, you name it....

Achilles Last Stand by Led Zeppelin, at about 9:11 when Robert Plant hits that ultra-fantastic non-lyrical note....

Beside You In Time - Nine Inch Nails

When the song is near ending it's amazing, this goes doubly for if you're high, and triple if you're watching the live performance from the tour, and quadruple if you're high and watching the performance.

I think it is special to me because of the ritual of listening to it before me and my friends smoke, and it's a badass song.

oh yeah... that song gives me a chill too... it's right near the end when the droning pitch changes finally... it's awesomeIf you've seen the tour, it's a peice of work, during the beginning of the song, there's a huge black screen in front of the band with these blue cloudy like things just kinda moving around, and as the vocals start, the clouds get more transparent so that you can see the band ... fuck it ....

YouTube - Nine Inch Nails - Beside You In Time (BYIT) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrD3H7ZBdsE)

It looks way better on DVD, but when he breaks the screen and the lights strobe, it's insane. It also looks like it's actually raining on stage in the dvd when the drums kick in, which is kinda hard to tell what's going on in this vid.

TOOL - Lateralus

I embrace my desire to
feel the rhythm, to feel connected
enough to step aside and weep like a widow
to feel inspired, to fathom the power,
to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain,
to swing on the spiral
of our divinity and still be a human.

We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
