I hate to be an asshole, but you didnt listen to what you wrote did you? Your analogies were done incorrectly man. "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" is like saying "Cars don't kill people, drivers of cars do" and "Alcohol doesn't drink and drive, people drink and drive". See? Listen. Guns kill people, but a gun will only kill someone if someone else pulls it's trigger, right?

Anyway, I think weapons are interesting. Their mechanics ((for advanced ones)) and their style for old ones. And some guns are just badass. Seen Trigun? ;) Anime kinda gave me a boner for guns and D&D has turned me onto swords and shit.

Ya I never got the idea of selling some kind of Automatic Rifle that can shoot over 200 rounds a minute for "hunting" or "collecting". We need a bit more gun controlling. And for all these people who say well its in the consitution well that was written well over a hundren years ago when people didnt have armour pierecing bullets, or guns that can shoot over 200 rounds a minute. Back then guns were more respected and used for hunting food to EAT. Now a days guns are mostly used to kill someone who cuts you off in traffic. People in America own more guns than peoples in any country. To the saying "Guns make you safe" well if SO many people have guns why isnt America the safest nation in the country. Just my two cents.

But I digress. The 2nd Ammendment was not enstablished to protect hunting rifles. It is there to reinfornce our right to bear arms in protection not only of life and limb but also of liberty. According to out founding document this means overturning the Government when it oversteps its bounds. If you can explain how this can be done peaceably, I will conceed. But I suspect you can only fail on that task ;)

anyway, my point is, i dont agree (anymore) with killing animals for food, but i understand why people hunt for food, and why people eat meat, its their choice and nothing to do with me.. so when people own a rifle, and say they use it to hunt, then fair enough.. but what i dont understand is when people like hempheadjack, have a room full of hand guns, rifles, machine guns, shotguns, knives, swords, and any weapon you can think of????? i mean, isnt that overkill a tiny bit? like xtc said, why would anyone need a gun that fires hundreds of rounds per minute, if they were only usin it for hunting?

All I collect are military grade firearms. Ghostoker, have you ever even fired a gun? It is a shitload of fun! Fully-automatic firearms are even more fun. I don't have firearms for hunting or intentionally killing people. I love shooting and teaching others to shoot. I have a few firearms for home security and hopefully I will never have to use them for that. I have been around firearms my entire life and besides what most people think, the majority of firearm owners in this country are safe responsible citizens. Why should we punish them and take their firearms away? I see firearm ownership as the ultimate freedom and a government who disarms it's own people is commiting an act of tyranny.

Funny But the sad thing is, people actually do try and sue the firearm companies for crimes commited with their products. Nobody ever tries to sue Ford when a drunk driver kills someone with one of their vehicles. ;)

My folks never locked my dad's shotguns up... But ever since I was a small lil kid I woudl clean them with my dad after he went hunting. So I was always around guns and they were just another part of life. You know what I mean? I respected them and shit, and had no urge to fuck with 'em cuz I knew what and how they were used ;)

Well you know what fun it can be then Ghost! A lot of us still like to pop boners shooting. I always go to the dollar store and buy all the crap that nobody else buys and blow it to pieces. You know sillystring explodes out the entrance hole before the bullet even passes through the entire can! I don't hunt, I just love shooting. Cleanup is a bitch though. :)

Back in 96 I was sitting with my friend in a gazebo And I had the bright idea of trying to fire wooden cooking skewers down the garden with a sling shot. I fired the first one and it flew really well. So I thought WOW this is pretty cool! So I load up another and fire it and I didn't see where it went, So my friend and I walked up the garden for a while looking for it and couldn't find it. So we sit back down and I looked over to him and his face is filled with shock and he say's......

Dave....... Your arm!!!

So I look down and see this wooden skewer buried in my wrist! It was only then that it started to hurt!:D

I had to be taken to hospital to have the bloody thing cut out.

And I still have the scar!:D

as a kid i was the one who got in the pin,after they shot the hog between the eyes and slits it throat,it had to be done really fast ,and my lil ass would jump in slice and jump out before it hit the ground
if a animal is ,mad,ie shot stabbed and not mortally wounded
its meat is pumped full of adrenilin ,,makes for bad taiste.
