Mushroom potency?

today i thought of a question, may make me sound stupid but i just am very curious. why are dried mushrooms so much more potent then fresh ones? peace.

They arnt "so much more potent" in actuality dried shrooms are less potent, IE if you have a specimen of Psilocybe Cubensis that weighed out to 35 grams fresh, and dried it, it would weigh roughly 3.5 grams. It would lose some potency due to pisilocin degredation. but if you took the same 3.5 grams of dried shrooms and compared it to 3.5 grams of fresh shrooms it would be more potent by weight. Fresh mushrooms are 90% water.

yeah youv defentaly got a chance of losing the potancy if you dry them out. iv taken dried a few times and completly wasted my money coz they didnt work. evrtime i tried fresh shrooms iv had good visuals and seem to get liek extacy kinda rushing and just feeling really good. wicked coz i dont think u can die on em unless u fell into somthin . there complelty broken down by your body aswell

dried shrooms dont lose enough potency to not make you trip at all, you just got bunk shrooms or didnt eat enough.

yea, when i did dried shrooms i tripped really nicely off of an eighth.
