400 dollar budget. First grow.

Is that a realistic budget for setting up a successful 2'x2' room? If not what might be more realistic? Also, any advice? First time grower here. Suggested products appreciated!

it is realistic, could be done with under 200 bucks. Are you going with floros?

I'd like to go with something that I could successfully bring into another more expensive ((larger)) growroom in the future. My mom is allowing me to grow in our basement closet. The thing is, I'll be moving out in the near-distant future. ;) Probably about 4 months - 2 years. When i do move out my grow operation will be in alot bigger an area. So I'd like the lights to be possible secondary lights in that grow room. Not sure. Ill think more when Im not high.

Nope. I've only my growing place, and soon my 400 dollars.

2x2 wont allow you to get a big light that you can use in a big OP later, like a 150w probably. Use a 150 hps with a remote ballast, 70 dollars at home depot i think. Then get pots, four 3 gallons, and some shop nute and soil. this will add up to be around 30 dollars. Then seeds, how tall is the area? I cannot tell you what to get w/o that fact. but you will probably want an indica dom. so you dont outgrow the space and finish if you do indeed move out in 4 months.
