Challenges that push us to our very limits prove that we are capable of shouldering burdens that might once have broken our resolve. We gain access to parts of ourselves we never knew existed when we undertake tasks that require us to explore new territory.
Whether your efforts aaaa8 are successful is often less important than the fact that you took a chance and saw your goals through to their conclusions.

Let me get this straight. You've just turned 16, you've already got your own car, and you're asking us to console you about losing a hundred bucks - which you didn't even earn yourself?

Ya man don't be such a douche to him. Everybody's always spewing this bullshit that somebody's suffering isn't valid just because somebody else has it worse. Somebody else always has it worse. If he feels like this, and this is what made him feel like it, then it's real. And he's hardly being selfish, he's upset because he lost the $100 his grandfather gave to him, that's called being gratefull.
aaaaa8, this scale (and bigger) of shit will inevitably happen in your life. You can't fight Karma, you can only make your own. Karma btw, isn't some mystical force that judges the universe, it's the inevitable set of events set in motion by every individuals actions. When you let something like this ruin your mindset, you're fighting against the inevitable, the very nature of the universe. What you want to focus on, to really give importance in your mind, is how you can guide your current circumstances in the best way possible. If you really want it, really focus on it, you can alleviate suffering of any sort, suffering that is caused by fighting your karma, rather than controlling it.
You're life is a raging river man and you can't paddle against the current, just avoid the rocks and take the best routes down.

I Hate Myself and I Want to Die is one of my favorite Nirvana songs ever. It's awesome.
And yeah, losing money sucks. In the last few months though, I found $20 one early morning, and a week ago on my early morning bike ride, I found another $20. Both happened after a Friday night too. :p

I got $1300 taken right out of hands when I found it.
I was working at Wal-Mart when I was 16, and I went into the washroom one day at work and floating in a flushed toilet was a wallet. I pick it up, open it, and inside I counted $1300 in soaking wet cash. I thought, "founders keepers...", so I wrapped the cash up in paper towel and ditched the wallet.
I tell one person, 1 guy I work with what I found, and 20 minutes later the manager comes to me and says, "I heard you have found something that isn't yours." I had to get the wallet, give back the money, so they could call the guy and give it back. They probably kept the money and just gave back the guys wallet.
So I guess that may have been karma in place there, but as 16 year old, that was like finding gold, and if I found it again, only I would know. ;)
So you want to know about being mad.

And the thread topic was originally "i hate myself and i want to die" which was a reference to a nirvana song. I dont really hate myself and i dont wish to die in the near future

ive had my liecnese since i was 14, and i bought my own car, dont be to hard on him man... think of that stuff possitivily though, what happens if that 100 bucks went to somebody in need.. something good will come around from that though, for every negitive action there is an equal and opposite reaction, just the way the universe works

dude last year I was in your exact same position, my mom gave me a $100 bill because I was a little low on cash and needed to pay some bills. Needless to say I did some errands and like a dumb ass just put a loose $100 in my pocket and next thing I knew it was gone. In fact it happened like a year and a half ago but I was just talking to someone about it the other day at work and how crappy it was. I didn't tell my mom cause she would have gave me an earfull plus there is no reason to, I was already pissed at myself and learned my lesson.
Some lucky person probably saw it blowing in the wind and thought it was a $1 until they got closer and said "HOLY SHIT!"

Well... now the man did find his money, and probably is happy, so i think its time for a small piece of wisdom. It works for any troubles, small or great.
"Death is the only wise adviser that we have. Whenever you feel, as you always do, that everything is going wrong and you're about to be annihilated, turn to your death and ask if that is so. Your death will tell you that you're wrong; that nothing really matters outside its touch. Your death will tell you, 'I haven't touched you yet.'" - Don Juan Matus - Journey to Ixtlan
