I swear this just keeps gettin better and better. Im actually kinda nervous it seems perfect. The District Manager came to the store today. I made a sign on those dry erace boards and made it all pretty and girly, and taped ballons on the outside of the board. I put all the sale and clearance items on there, and they were colored coded with the ballons on the products so they were easily found and stood out. The first thing he done when he came in the store was stop and look at the sign. He then took out his phone and took a pic of it!! He walked up to me and was like did you make that sign? I said yeah, and he said that its awesome, I took a pic of it so I can show other stores how its done right. He then proceeded to tell me what a great job I've done, and how impressed he was with me. He said I have a great personality, an awesome smile, and am great with customers and sales.

The next thing that came out of his mouth was so unexpected. He asked me if I wanted to have my own office. I was shocked and just said yeah. Hell yeah!!! :yippee:I got a door, and 2 windows where I can see into the other offices or the showroom oh and they have blinds so I can close myself off. Its the only office that smells awesome because of the tanning salon next door. My office smells like tanning lotion and ladies you know how good that smells. Its also the office that has the coolest room temp. Oh and I got one of those leather cushion chairs.

Speaking of the chairs they bought new ones and were going to throw away the old ones if no one wanted them. I jumped on that shit. Say goodbye to uncomfortable chair with a hard straight back and a basket weave hard as a rock seat and hello you sexy fluff stuffed leather black beauty.

Money is great, stash is never low, all bills paid and money left over, but as I have said Im nervous something is going to wreck it. Its just seems too perfect and then again I just may be jinxing myself. Ive always wanted a job where I could be around people and also have a desk type job as well. I finally found it and now I dont know what to do with it. Im a little scared to be honest.

Don't worry, hun! You deserved it and you deserve the happiness. You're just trying to hedge your "karma," but there's really no need. You already paid by having put up with that loser colleague for so long at first. Plus you must be one of those people who automatically thinks on some level that you don't deserve the good stuff that happens. I'm the same way. But the truth is, we do deserve it.

Keep doing what you're doing. Keep making the store look good and your boss look good. Keep selling and finding ways to boost those numbers. All of that's what your bosses notice. Also remember that just because you have the best office and have been set apart, so to speak, you still have other colleagues, too, who'll be relying on your friendliness and support and your example. In other words, don't forget the little people. When everyone in that place looks good, you look even better. Congrats!

Congrats Dro!
It's not the office or the chair that makes me cheer for you..it's that you've found something you like to do and that makes for a life above average. You go girl!

Ps.
If you're still worried about Karma....go walk 10 old ladies across the street!

Congrats Dro! Enjoy it but look at it as just another step towards all the great things you will accomplish in your life. If you ever feel like you are in over your head take this advice; act how the person in that position would act, it helps me. If I start to get worried about if I can handle something (being a good parent for example) I just act like the person I need to be and eventually I realize I was that person all along. I just got scared.
So go get em sister! And next time that manager comes to your store knock his socks off even more!
