so i have an ipod, the 60g video one and it is pretty big not gonna lie..
i want one to go skating with and shit or one that i just dont have to worry about as much and isnt so big in my pocket cuz i love listenin to music, but that 60g one is a bit big...

i went to an apple store today to try and get my moms fixed cuz somethin is fuckin up in it and i saw the new shuffles and those things are tiny, basically what i want... but it doesnt have a screen and shit... and it would be nice to be able to navigate thru my music...

but anyway does anyone know a lot bout mp3 players?? like is that a good choice, or is there one that is on the same kind of "level" as the shuffle but with a screen if you know what i mean..

any help would be appreciated, i have to go to work so i dont have time to investigate mp3 players myself right now, but im going to when i get home...

thanks again, and stay high my friends.. :stoned:

Eh, there's the RCA Lyra series, but they're a bit unresponsive sometimes, but for under $150 you can get a 4 gig one.

I have a Lyra, a sport model and it has been great for when Im workin out, or doing something that I don't want to risk fuckin up my ipod for.

Ive had that Lyra for a few years and every now and again it would lock up, but take the battery out & bk in and alls better

Good luck findin one :)

Get a case with a clip.

I do more vigorous exercises with an Ipod on than skating. It isn't too big!

i hate having something that costs 400 bucks in my pocket when im skating for two reasons,
1. it could break
2. i dunno how to explain it but it kinda gets in the way cuz its all big and shit... i dont like havin a lot of stuff in my pocket...

do these lyras have a screen and shit?? and do they have a rechargable battery or like AA ones..

what you want is a creative zen

they have small pocket models with a screen that shows whats playing, i use one for work and it with stands so much abuse i wouldnt hesitate to buy a replacement if i needed to unlike the Bose headphones which broke 6 months after i got them yet the MP3 playing which has oil, glue, been dropped and god knows what else keeps on kicking.

it takes a AAA battery and last about a week using it 3-4 hours a day which is great cause i would never remember to charge the damn thing, i had a ipod shuffle and cause my shop has so much oil and crap around it didnt make it past 3 months yet the Zen has been with my now almost 2 yrs still works like out the box and this is a cheap 512MB model.

That's why you have the clip. You attach it to your belt. The case I got, all it cost was $5. The layer of protection it adds is amazing. My ipod had taken some nasty falls, but because of the case, it's still perfectly intact.

thc i just hate having somethin like that while im skating, ive tried it and it dont work that well....

cannabis campbell the 60 gig one is a lot thicker than that of the 30g one.. when i bought it i didnt realize how much 60 gigs was... haha god damn..

check out this site, Head-Fi.org: Headphones, iPod earphones, portable audio, MP3 players, high-end audio (http://www.head-fi.org/) . These people are Audiophiles and you can consider them as an equal to us when it comes to just about anything audio related. They can meet your expectations and take you about 50 levels above that. Hope this helps.

I am also a member there and let me warn you, These people are on an endless quest for audio perfection, and I can say myself that they have led me to spend about $500 or so on my portable setup.

iPod is actually quite bad when it comes to Sound Quality.
