What ever will they think of next? It's amazing what they can do these days isn't it.

Wow, that's so cool. Seems weird though.

ya it's pretty cool but one has to wonder the effects of all this electromagnetic radiation on us and the environment.

yeah, that's what tesla was going to do but they shut him down cause he was going to transmit it for free using earths atmosphere as the generator. it's nothing new, it's a 100 year old technology infact. the governments just wanted control until they could impose a police state with martial law.

Tesla was the man. His ability to visualize the future was light years ahead of his time.

yeah Tesla was the man to bad that whacky generator/tower thingy never worked out. Even now such an idea seems "out there," Tesla was amazing. but I definately wouldn't want my laptop to be charged in any way like this article descibes, at least not while I'm in the room..CANCER! or something! Ive always imagined this somewhere in our future though..wouldn't that be crazy?!

Eric Giler demos wireless electricity | Video on TED.com (http://www.ted.com/talks/eric_giler_demos_wireless_electricity.html#)

Magnetic fields are ubiquitous. The earth has one that changes polarity every so often. And we all have radio waves going through our heads right now. But none of that is particularly caustic.

Is the cancer threat real? I know it's a pretty old technology at this point, but it's still not well understood.

Also, what kind of limits are there on transmission? Magnetism drops off at an exponential rate, so it's difficult to work with. I thought that was the issue tesla ran into.
