View Full Version : Does anyone here have a clue about how much your tolerance goes down each day?

That you don't smoke? Cause for some reason I hear in a week your tolerance can be like halved but it takes 5 weeks for complete tolerance-free.

So what's the real truth?

ready.....drum role......... there is no truth cause there are to many variables... with me about a weeks vacation is about all i need to get ~real high~ again...if i wait a month the munchies and paranoia come back too.

you have to wait a month to get the munchies back for you? I still get the munchies even though i don't really feel a high.

So, to anyone else here who has taken a 84 hour break before (3 and a half days) or somewhere close to there, tell me, how much higher did you get compared to the last session before the break?

I used to smoke an eight in one day with two other friends

3 months? damn. I don't think I can stop that long. I'm even surprised by how I was able to take a two week break a few weeks ago.

Yeah, way back in the day I had to smoke a lot to get lit too. I'll smoke once or twice a week at the most now, and my tolerance is low as shit. I'll do around 3 hits off a vaporizer, and I'm about as high as I want to be. It probably helps that I'm smokin' Trainwreck sensimilla too.

i don't really keep a tab on my tolerance I just know that the paranoia is always creeping up after a few bowls

After 2 weeks you should be OK, depending on how much you used to smoke. I've smoked everyday for about 7 months and I know if I took a 2 week break it'd lower it almost completely. You should smoke now and see how you feel, really. I mean smoking one bowl in a break isn't gonna stop your tolerance from lowering. Also if you don't mind working out, do that too. Go on runs and stuff, heard that helps a lot as well.

I don't know, but I do know I haven't smoked since Jan. 5th and tonight I shall smoke a blunt to the head. That really should do the trick!

I don't blaze often, but I usually blaze once a week, and I love it. I get pretty stoned off a couple snaps from a bong.

Moderation is key.

When I smoked daily I would always get blitzed with a little bit more each time. If I take a 2 day break that is good enough. I guess I am lucky :p

I have a very low tolerance and it's all due to one thing called moderation. I've been going on about 9 years of smoking, and during some of that time, my tolerance has been very high. I remeber one time I smoked 6 joints in a row to myself just to get high. Wow, that was bad.

That's because I abused it though, but now I don't rely or think about it.

So now I laugh tolerance in the face. 4 bong rips and I'm good. :pimp:

Now either my tolerance is extremly low, i get really good weed, or i've never been properly high before. About 1, sometimes 2 spliffs is easily enough to get me high (same for pretty much everyone i know who blazes aswell). When i think about taking 4 bong rips, i think i would be off ma head by then lol.

Im a daily user of small amounts of hash oil. The most time i stayed without smoking since some 2 years ago is 100-120 hours (4-5 days). For me, it works very well. When i smoke again i become SO high... its incredible. I dont know how will be if one day i have a break of two weeks, or a month... and i expect this days dont come... :rastasmoke:

Edit : 600th post!

I can take a 3 day break and smoking is amazing again. it really depends from person to person I would say, its not something you can measure

i'd say it solely depended on the weight/fat weight of a person, their lifestyle and their metabolism...

just guessing here... but as an example under my theory.. a 300 lb person that's like 6 foot that doesn't get much excersize and has a slow metabolism would take by far, much longer then a 6 foot 120 pound person with a very fast metabolism and an active lifestyle.

cuz the only thing that really explains tollerance, is the fact that by-products of the bud stay in your system, thus your body is used to having it there, and it takes a lil more to get the same effect as if you're clean... and since thc is stored in fat, that's why those factors would greatly affect tollerance.

My roommates and I usually take about a week off every two months or so, to lower our tolerances.

We found that at least for us, that two months of constant 5-6 times a day smoking a couple bowls would put us at the apex of our tolerances, and that it would start taking more weed to get the same effect from there on.

But I personally can feel the difference in tolerance after only a couple days of not smoking, so ymmv.

The seventh day, you shouldn't have any symptoms of cannabis-use. At least, that's what they concluded a year ago, in a study.
