What up...
Does anyone here use screens? I find them pretty useful but can be annoying inserting. But I use them so the weed won't fall into the water. I can just take a small crumb of weed and just light up.

I use one in my erbo pipe... They are a PITA to insert in a glass bowl, so I cut them from the outside to the center (the radius for those who remember h.s. geometry) and make them into a cone shape... It takes about 10-15 bowls to get them to resin up and stick to the inside of the bowl.

nah, I hate screens. but sometimes I need one, so I tear off a tiny bit of a paper and use that so I can still clear it w/o having to dump it.
A friend has a glass screen, like a little bead lookin thing. I'd have a helluva time keepin up with that littlew thinbg myself

I use a $2 glass screen I picked up at a headshop and it works like a charm. Then again, I have an ash catcher so its perfect for me. I'm not likely to knock it out, after 2-3 bowls it get lodged in there pretty tight.
I would completely recommend it for anyone that wants to nearly double the number of hits per bowl, since it prevents pulling through. Also, if you happen to have a friend that rips a bong WAY too hard and constantly pulls the entire bowl through this is right up your alley.

i use those cheap metal screens they last ages and help keep my glass clean. means u can use little bits of weed and it burns more evenly cos air can get under the screen

so the flame reaches more of the surface. i ONLY smoke with screens, because i love chopping up my bowls, and it saved the chron from falling through ensuring i get all that goodness. Plus when u chop, it creams wayyy faster, and u get FUCKED.

Note I said A crumb. I do too grind up my bud before packing bowls.

I use a glass screen in my home pieces. I have pipes that I use for when I go out or to a friends place, then there are ones I like to use just at home. When I take a travel glass spoon, I don't use a screen, for one main reason: I'd lose the damn thing! They don't like to stay in, and I;d either lose it in my pocket and get mixed in with some change, or it would fall in the grass somehwhere, so I don't bother.
At home though, who cares. I tip the aash in the ashtray, and if it falls out, I just pick it up, and put it back in the bowl. Takes no more than 10 seconds to do.
I bought some screens for my bong but never liked using them - and really there was no need for my particular bowl.

Had some glass screens but lost 'em all, usin' brass ones now. I refuse to pay 5 dollars for 3 glass screens, that price is fucking ridiculous for something that small.
