Any of you notice Ca or K def symptoms about 48 h after a single application of Gravity?
This is the first time I have used it and have DISTINCT K def symptoms and it looks like some Ca def too, VERY sudden onset, is this a frequent side effect of the stuff?
It's noticeable on about half my plants, all different strains, all in compost, although some still have a lot of coco clinging to the roots from my flirtations with alternative lifestyles, lol....

Aha, so you admit you've tried Bi-gro. I guess you didn't think it was so "disgusting" when you were enjoying it.
I never figured you to be a Republican, but you sure are behaving like one.

I think we've just been visited by a Bush Administration spokesperson.
Stinky- what was dosage rate? Media pH?
Did you cut the Cornicopia? If so, %?
Were you able to pull the lights up?
Some folks report stress syndromes at application- never saw it myself. I'm wondering about a sudden change in cell-level replication, and assoc. nute uptake.
Folks who report stress syndromes almost always recover quickly- if you are sure that you're seeing defs, you could foliar Cornicopia and a little Cal-Mag.
Most frequent complaint ( not many) is sensitivity to temps/light burn.

Hmmmm well, I used the concentration on the bottle, and didn't feed the cornucopia that feeding.
I fed shortly before 'dark', but didn't raise the lights (ducting = mess)
Haven't tested pH recently at all. Everything had been looking GREAT.
The symptoms are actually not far from the ones I was seeing back when I had no temp control.... hm... that makes sense actually.
I foliar fed with floraMicro this morning and gave calmag last night as part of the regular feeding schedule. I'll post improvement or not.
Tahnks for the quick reply... I'm cutting a new exhaust hole this afternoon actually; the temps were up again- I accidentally dropped a towel over the end of the active intake duct, oops....

Two app rates on bottle-5ml/gal for two consecutive waterings or 10ml/gal for one watering only.
Did your space go hot right after you applied? Stress and pgrs can do weird things. If room went hot, area immediately under hood may have gone warm in a non-linear fashion. Gravity definately makes plants temp-sensitive for a couple of days.
Nute availibility in compost-based soil goes up w/ microbial activity, which increases ( to a point) with temp- might be making up for the Cornicopia.
Let me know how they look tonight. Sounds like just a blip.

I did the single-watering dose.
And the space went hot about 12 hours after app, when the lights came back on.
Being that I AM in compost, microbial activity + temp sensitivity may be a likely culprit.
Thanks as always for your advice! Oh... and your previous suggestion of the dip n grow... two thumbs up, I'm seeing action already!

Only joking with you, Stinky. A meaningless quip that apparently offended instead of amused. My apologies.

Yeah, I love Dip-n-Grow... and it's so damn cheap.
How long do you think that bottle would last you? I've never actually gone all the way thru one- I always knock em over before I use em up.
Caution- bad stink.

Welll... without getting into a detailed political dissertation - I would consider "Republican" synonimous with "hypocrite". While this same analogy can be made to virtually every politician alive, Republicans kinda corner the market when it comes to being hypocritical about "alternative lifestyles" and you had made a comment on another thread that "bigro" (or "bidro", I don't remember which) was disgusting and so when you mentioned "...my flirtations with alternative lifestyles, lol...." I was just kidding about that.
I'm pretty sure that when one has to go into this kind of a detailed explanation, the joke has, in every sense of the word, bombed :stoned: But you asked for an explanation so...

rhizome... i am such a geek and such a yankee (never waste a drop of anything lol) that i made a very small amount of the 1:20 by weight on my little scale lol.... that bottle if full would last me a lifetime... the amount remaining in that supply is probably enough for a YEAR....
pharma... i think i get it now... :D that was obtuse to say the least!
now i have to go derivatize PCBs if you'll excuse me.

Stinky there are only two things I know about Gravity since Im still too scared to try it. Both of these apply to hydro so can't say about soil but I was told:
Cut nutes by one third
Raise lights about a foot
My two cents....just to throw it in....for the info pot....:)

WEll thanks guys, here's the update on the kids...
They have not gotten any worse since 24h ago. And some of the leaves that were simply going yellow have greened up a touhc (foliar w/floramicro).
I think that's that, and next time I'll go for the 2x @ low dose, and DROP my heat lol!!!

Good. I didn't think that you had a real problem- but that kinda shit'll scare the F%^ outta ya.
Fer the folks that'll find this thread in search results-
Any PGR, which would include Bushmaster, Purple Maxx, Gravity, Superbud, Budswell, Bonzi, paclobutrazole( don't smoke this), Cycocel, B-Nine, Bonzi, Sumagic, Topflor, A-rest, Fascination,( don't smoke these either), and a whole bunch of other product names that aren't coming to mind right now , require some dial-in time- results will vary widely according to strain, cultivation techniques, environmentals.
Start at low doses, be gentle- Less is More...
It's really easy to overdose.

Somewhere between holding steady and slight recovery.
I'm not particularly worried any more.
At least nothing is getting worse- and with the cold weather that has just hit, keeping temps down is a cinch.

Hi Stinky. I have used Gravity before and it did the exact same things with my plants - and I used it with GH Flora series-so you know that the effects are coming directly from the gravity and not anything else(you are using compost right). Those crazy looking leaves are a direct result of that stuff. For some reason, Gravity seems to make the top buds extremely light sensitive. Gravity is some cool stuff though. From my personal experience, it didnt make the buds super big or super dense but it gives the finished buds this feeling of hardness - kinda hard to explain but you will see what I mean. Dont expect the leaves to get any better - fortunatly we wont be entering the plants in a leaf judging competition. Anyway - you end up with buds that are of amazing quality but a different (in a good way) texture than you are probably used to.

oh cool, I can't wait to see the pics!!!
Yeah after this I have decided to retire the strain SmashBerry from my grow, as it is the most oversensitive plant I run atm. I just put my last remaining mother in flower this morning. After the gravity OD, it dropped ALL its mature fans and has the same scraggly appearance as a wet cat, lol. The small leaves are fine and it will finish, but it's a twitchy strain in general. Tastes GREAT but too much hassle.
