i made the mods i think i needed to my box and my plant broke soil soo i guess its time to grow a bit ill be using this as my grow log and ill post pikz every 2 to 3 weeks...and i have a few questions so advice will be a bug help thanks...

here are some pikz of my stuff...1 is the mylar i finally put in..all three side excapt for the front for easy access and its covered by reflective tint...2 is the two lights im using 1 is a 120 watt plant light i think its incandecent...im not sure other then that and the other is a 40 watt commercial grade lightbulb...i will be changing them as soon as i get an hps and mh bulb...3 is just the inside of the box and the fan for ventilation...and finally 4 is my plant that just broke the soil and is growing...the soil is miracle-gro and some brand of potting mix the potting mix is 21 7 14 and the miracle-gro is 10 5 5 and has phospherus, nitrogen, and other nutrients plants need like perlite and ect... i used a very small amount of a plant food from miracle-gro that is 30 15 25 and is full of all the nutrients the plant needs...i water is with distilled water thats been out for about 24 hour chilled to room temp...the box temp is around 79 degrees and is a little humid...i was thinking about putting a little humidifier in if it would benefit me any and thats about it i hope it all works well...:wtf:

i have some organic soil...o i dunno tho its from miracle grow and i made sure theres no weed killer or nuthin but i got it and some water and thats all the soil is 10 5 5...and thats all be sides for the perilite and watever...

first pic is light fixture that you can get a walmart for less then $2. for lights go with compact flos if you dont got MH/HPS. the sta-green is at lowes for $3-4 bucks and you will need to add a bag of pelite from walmart. you need to get .88 cent pot at walmart(your bowl dont look like it has holes for drainage) also you should add a few rocks at bottom of your pot also for good drainage. hang on im sure theres more i can tell you

yea i try to make due with what i have and im on the brink of losin everything soo im growing for a reason and im tryin to get as much help as possilbe and get as much saved up as possible to buy some of the good stuff...

back then i was getting my best results with like 16 bulbs. but im telling you your not going to get the results you want until you go mh/hps. i started with compact flos then went to a 400 watt HPS, to 2 400 watts, to a 1000 watt and now i run 31000w swictable. 2for flower and 1 for veg

ooo and yea i dont want to order any over the internet have any ideas where to get some ill be willing to pay for the bulbs because i know i need them...and i know they r probobly like 30 to 40 dollars a bulb right...???

lol you have to have a ballast to run mh/hps light bulbs. lets see i got 3 HPS bulbs and 2 MH bulbs at a grand total of $520 My HPS are $120 each and MH are $80 each the Ballast to run these are $250 each and my refectors are $250 each.

o i got 6 360 Watt, Clear ED37 Metal Halide bulbs for about 26 dollars and 6 hps 70 Watt ED23.5 High Pressure Sodium Bulbs for 23...ans the ballast i have are free ans i have about 20 soooo...i have enough but why cant i use the plant light i have already..???

I use miracle gro multi purpose and it works really well. I like your setup mate remember no nutes for the first 3 weeks then introduce them at half dosage.

yea thanks i didnt know that and im going to just stick with the light i have now for a wile till i can afford new 1s it sukz my budget is really tight or id be flyin high...but o well u gotta do what u gotta do i guess...and ill use the miracle grow then...lol

if u can u bigger pots the better , they love root space , as 4 soil i used a veggy garden mix from the sand and soil co , worked well , remember they r a weed ? not 2 much fert ?

yea im using some organic mix from miracle grow...no weed killer or nuthin... and not alot of fertalizer and i got a 4 bulb ballast and 3 cfls for this grow ill stick with them...and ill get another 1 asap...ill post piks of my little babiis they finnaly broke soil...and they r gettin bigger....

ok i got those pikz....here are the 4 lights up top 1 axadently broke hahaha randy...and i added another down bottom for more light and dont worry the box and mylar strips are fire retardent...and my two plants and i got a big pot to plant um and i fixed all the hole that light seeps from and made a cover for the front out of a big piece of plexi and mylar strips...here they r...:D ooo yea and i made a cover for the top kuzz alot of light was excaping...

yea there are 10 100 watt cfls...and the plants are lookin pertty...nice and green and they r about 7 days old and pretty big already...i burried the stems in the dirt a bit to make them more stable but didnt cover the leaves...

its a tub from a metal yard like the recycleing place and no its not metal is a real hard high heat tolerant plastic...and i removed the bottom and put a new tent over it ill post pics with the others thread...

be careful of your temps.
i had heat issues using a small space with CFLs, they give off enuf heat that it will add up.
try to stay 70-80 F

and Im also using MG soil and no problems related to that.
make sure theres plenty of perlite mixed in tho, i added about 30% to each pot.
mine are doing pretty well after some problems early on. Heat related.
