Lately I have been ran over and snapped my right humerus in half dead on in the middle. To move is a huge surge of pain and I can hardlys get out of bed. And I have been to the doctors about a toenail problem which badly hurts and all they give me is Anti-biotics which dont work much and they wont rip them out because they dont advice me being under local anesthetic. For the time being with my arm until it heals so I can move it is it possible I could get medical marijuana? Im confused atm so if I sound stupid or anything or if your gonna moan at me dont lol.

No, I think that shit is mainly prescribed to those dying of cancer, suffer from eating disorders, or other diseases where the body wastes away. I mean, you could ask; but first of all, do you live in California or any other state that allows the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes? That's essential.

Wow, that clears up a lot. I thought you *just* got into an accident. I was going to say go to the hospital, but you know, I thought you had it handled. :rasta:

That explains so much.

in california you go to a place where they diagnose your problem and then refer you to a chill doctor that is ok with perscribing it.... its liike 2 or 3 hundred dollars for the whole process and very easy you could complain from anything from frequent headaches to sleeping problems with no medical history and they will prescribe it...i wish i had teh buisness card for them but sadly i dont

Umm, no that actually isn't how it works, I just got legal so I know the whole process (and yes I am very medicated right now:stoned:)

First, this is what the law states in Prop 215:
To ensure that seriously ill Californians have the right to obtain and use marijuana for medical purposes where that medical use is deemed appropriate and has been recommended by a physician who has determined that the person's health would benefit from the use of marijuana in the treatment of cancer, anorexia, AIDS, chronic pain, spasticity, glaucoma, arthritis, migraine, or any other illness for which marijuana provides relief.

Now if you have any of those conditions, you are pretty much set.

Second, you need a doctor that will write a letter or recommendation stating that with his first amendment right to freedom of speech, in his best medical profession, recommends marijuana as a beneficial treatment for your condition. However, legally he CANNOT give/prescribe you marijuana, he can't even tell you where to go and get it. That part is all up to you and a little friend called Google.

Third, If your doctor does not give you a recommendation, you take your medical records to a different doctor that will. Typically these other doctors charge about $150 for the visit.

After that, just do some internet searches to find a dispensary.

Thank you Nailhead, you saved me the hassle of typing the info out again! Dang, they ought to make a sticky on how to get "California legal"! Sadly, XPD, I know nothing about England's MMJ laws. Good luck to you!- Granny:hippy:

Or how about a thread that has information on how to get legal in every state that supports medical marijuana (and other countries as well). That would require a lot of information from people in each of those states/countries, but if somebody could put something like that together it could save a lot of time for anybody looking for information on how to get legal!
