Pls advise is this plant flowering and when can I harvest it? It is only about 1m tall and 10 months already.

Nice tree! Old as heck though, how was it grown?

It looks to me that it is preflowering or just started flowering. Be sure to have 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness for the flower cycle.

You have at least four weeks left, more than likely more, guessing by how much flowering you are showing.

Thanks for the coments, appreciate it & I really like your name Bree (very unique). Hmm... I am living at the city in Asia and night time there is some street lights so impossible to have total darkness. Is it ok?

Everyday I have only about 8/16 Sunlight only cos blocked by some other buildings around here. Currently it is about 1 metre tall only at 10mths, outdoor growing. I water the plant twice daily 8am & 8pm.

There last few days the leaves of the plants started to have yellow leaves but lots of small leaves have started to grow too, is it ok?

Btw how do I harvest it?

I am living at the city in Asia and night time there is some street lights so impossible to have total darkness. Is it ok? Actually no, this not okay and that is why it is not flowering properly. Would it be possible to cover the plant in something breathable but blocks out light so you get a least 12 hours darkness? Or can you drag it into your closet for 12 hours? If you don't, the plant may never be smokable, er I guess it could technically be smokable, but it won't get you very high -if at all :( The street lights are what the problem is I'm sure.

Overwatering could be causing the yellowing leaves...maybe.

Which leaves are yellow and how are they yellowing. Yellowing is normal in flower, but this is a little soon. Also the farther you get into flowering, less leaves shoul grow and more Should fall off. If you feel it is a lot of leaf loss, try to find a nute that has a higher p rating in the NPK number. I use MG bloom 15-30-15. I don't know what nutes are available in Asia...how neat, can I come visit? There are so many pretty flowering trees there (real trees I mean lol). Be sure to have trace minerals in it and start at 1/2 stregnth (and don't do it every water or you will have a chemical salt build up and will need a thourogh flushing later)
Btw how do I harvest it? This one is easy! Once you feel it is ready (by trich color and/ or by sample smoke- note it is too early right now to get anything off of it) chop it down, hang it somewhere dark and not too hot not too cold ck for dryness pretty often. When it is crisp to the touch and still can squeeze and feel moisture remove fan leaves and throw it in some paperbags, shaking lightly and opening up the bag daily to bring in fresh air and keep the buds from molding. Once it is quite dry (a miniscule amount of moisture when squeezed) and the stems snap quite well trim it up, remove stems (if you didn't already that is) and place in glass jars 2/3 way full. For a few weeks open the jars up to air out once a day. Always be cking for mold with your eyes and sniffer. If it begins to mold, it was not dry enough for the jars and throw back into the bags. Remove mold and don't smoke it. (that seemed obvious, but you never know).

Thank you for the detail explaination! Wow that is really great, hmm.. I cannot really bring the plant in and out the house 'cos my family does not know tat I am growing weed.. he..he!

It has been 2 weeks after I took the photos that I have posted and it has grow quite a lots buds now as I can see for a short plant. I am quite happy with the result. I have been growing about 20 plants already but 19 have been unsuccessful due to either it is male or I done something wrong in the process.

The seed I have got from Nirvana Seed Boutique iin Holland. I have tried couple of species but does not grow well in Asia. The one that I have shown in the photos is called " Sweet tooth". Hope it is as sweet as it looks..ha..ha!

I have just repot it about 3 weeks ago and I have add a mixture of different soil & nute, maybe it is causing the yellow leaves.

I will update ya again with photos if possible!

ok man you are giving it to much water i done the same thing as you on my first grow and it took like 12monthes to be ready to smoke lol ok this is what you want to do get you're finger and put it in the dirt only when the dirt is oneinch dry then water and that's about ever two and a half days man you are giving it to much water wich is makeing it grow alot slower what happen's is if you water it to much the root's stop growing the plante it's self is not really living man it's all about the root's but if you only water it ever two and a half days the root's start looking for water wich makes them grow and makes the plante grow like wild fire all so ever night about 7:00pm get some old sheet like a bad sheet or some thing and put it over you're plante and take it off bettewn 10:00am and 11:00am wich will make it flower a hell of a lot quicker peace man

Thanks pal, I will try your advise, but my country here is very hot about 34 degree celsius. I notice it does grow well when i use to water once daily.

Due to gobal warming the sun here is damn hot in the day.

Yeah... Shett... thats a fuckin tree, nice plant though, hopefuly you get some nice buds!!!

I would say at least a month.

You will see the buds swell up rather than get longer, and many of the little hairs (pistols) will turn brown.

The best way to tell if your buds are ready is to get a 30x magnifier and look at the tricomes (THC glands that will sparkle and frost the buds), when they get cloudy and begin to turn amber the bud is ready.

BTW, don't forget to dry and cure it properly for the best potency and smoke.

well man i cant really give you any more tips lol the plants looking really good ok i got one tip for you that you should know all ready but if you dont i will tell you it's only ready to havest when the little red or whatever couler your hairs are going when there 50-75% red then there ready for havest about a month or so left give or take that's just a guess man like a said it's all in your hand's now and i can see some nice little bud's starting to form addlest it's female man that's the main thing lol anyway man about a month and 50-75% as you can see the hairs start off white so ya 50-75% peace man

Thanks Dylan & Magic for the encouragement, this is my only survivor after many tries. Recently the weather is extremely hot and the plant drying up fast.

Should I hide it from the hot sun or water more?

I will buy a magnifying glass to see the THC, but I can see most hairs turning brown but it is very skinny in all the hairs. Does it lack of any nutrient, as I have added flowering nuke already.

I notice some of the buds or tricho is turning amber and I dried it to smoke but it does not really give a good smoke.

Please advise should I add more fert to the plant for harvesting??

do you mean that the smoke is harsh or that it's not getting you high enough? how did you dry the buds? keep in mind that a quick dry is likely to produce a harsh smoke.

Ok, I just leave the stalk of buds in the drawer to dry it for about 5 days, is it enough or is there a better way to dry it?

How to know it is dry enough to smoke and give a very good high?

If you search for drying and curing you should find all the info you need, but in short the clorophill(sp?) takes about a month to break down and give the buds a nice taste. Also, the potency will increase as they cure for another few weeks.

I realize that it would be hard but you would see faster results if you move it away from the street lite. The plant looks awsome but bud growth should be moving a little faster. If you can't find another spot just keep up the good work and be patient, you will get nice buds but it will take a lot longer due to the extra little bit of lite. The plant has sweet smell and hope that it taste as good as its name. Will wait a while longer and I was afraid that the street light will stop the harvest. At least I know that it will longer to harvest than none.
