Hes obviously smoking Indica strain

Marijuana smoking produces a high, several different highs actually, sort of a step by step process which can be stopped when you reach the particular platform you are seeking. . It simulates the pleasure senses, so it would be best to describe, what these pleasures feel like. The first buzz is like the feeling you get when you are sun bathing, and a gentle breeze blows across your face. Everything is just a little bit surreal, like you know something is different but you can't quite place your finger on it. It's because your eyes are dilating, colors get brighter, more intense. Your nose feels funny , like a slightly running or like when you have had a methylated cough drop. You get light headed, like after you've had a good laugh or a good cry.... Stress flows away, small things take on new meanings. You get the giggles "Big things" seem to go away Music sounds better, like maybe your ears dilated as well... Television video games, puzzles catch your interest. Reading is out forget it...:stoned:

Well he asked what stone felt like, not high. From my understanding, sativa = high, indica = stone..maybe that's just way I was brought to think of it at least, anyway. You're right with the high definition.

I always describe it as a sort of radiant body buzz with vivid color perception, perspective distortion (tilting, room spinning when focused on one point), reduced pain perception, and a somewhat warped state of mind. I only smoke sativa strains.

Impossible to describe. It's a different way of perceiving and understanding the Universe - it's like your base consciousness or what it means to be conscious. You're treading in philosophical-waters, where everything is murky.

The one thing I will say about being high or stoned is that when you look at different things, you do not see what is in-between your original starting point and the end object of focus. Your eyes kind of dart around and you are incapable of perceiving the sight in-between because, quite frankly, for a person who is high and under the impression of psychedelic/mental depressive, it's too fast.

Im not talking about the physical feeling but its like your looking at the whole world from another angle and its hard to understand things all while your lost in time somewhere. It's like a mystical feeling, like you're in a parallel universe that feels different, kinda. Even though unfortunately the anti-climatic truth is that your in the same place you've always been and it's just the THC affecting your perception of the same reality you had before you sparked up.

Actually I'd compiled a bunch of descriptions of what I was feeling when I was high, and put them together in a long assed rap. It's a slow slow song and I should be recording it soon :)

Ideas are coming at me at such a rapid rate // that they
Overlap each other, I canā??t differentiate //
Each thought, they blend together in one stream
An altered reality takes over this dream
I canā??t separate the two, I know itā??s hopeless // but
Suppose it isnā??t, I gotta snap out of it, focus
Every object stains the inside of my head // with a
Single colour, spilling into this essence Iā??ve bled
A pool of concepts that doesnā??t have a surface
A solitary collection, void of any purpose
A poison thatā??s undergoing the act of osmosis// with no
Separating membrane, I donā??t know how close it is // before
It kicks in, affecting my nervous system
Involuntary twitches make my fingers a fist //
My appearance is that of a Parkinsonā??s patient
Patiently waiting for the serum to park in // to my
Blood stream, flowing through my veins and arteries
Accelerating with each and every heart beat
I feel the energy, a pulsating fixation
I canā??t help but savour every sensation
The ground is behind me, the sound on the ceiling
The craziest thing, I canā??t understand what Iā??m feeling
I confuse the rational and the improbable
Things set in stone and things impossible
Every thingā??s foggy, I canā??t concentrate
Itā??s useless for me to try and define this state
I stop attempting what I know is useless
Relax myself and enjoy my way through this
Breathing this aura of infatuation
I sense the scent of upcoming elation
I need to continue on to find my place //Iā??ll
Eventually find my way, through time and space

But I've also written about my thoughts on why cannabis makes you feel that special way, is because it focuses our attention to what's going on at that exact moment, rather than your mind being stuck in the past or thinking about the future. Rarely do we as people live in the present. For example, if we're thinking in sentences, we're looking into the future to see what words we'll need to finish the sentence, and we have to remember what we just said so that we can choose our future words in context.

I think it's why when I get so friggin high, that I can't do things and I have a hard time talking. I'm living in the present, so I don't remember what i was talking about before, and since I'm living in the present, it's difficult to finish a sentence. When I'm stoned as hell, I say "what the fuck" a lot, just because I can't believe how shortsighted I am.

Conversing will become like a sport to you, and every idea you and your friends throw between eachother will be a touchdown. You will hear music like a rabbit might, keen ears detecting even the most subtle melodies with repetitive rhythms tingling your sensations, doing anything from making you laugh to scaring you silly. Even the generic noises you hear ambiently may begin to tapdance on your brain, forcing you to question why you don't always find dounds so incredible. The nerves on your skin will be on full alert, making even the most mundane movements entertaining, perhaps even orgasmic in a way. Your sense of taste could very well be in a different universe, and foods that you never normally like to eat may seem like the only thing worth eating.

After a while, these feelings will subside. You will become somewhat. Most people will have eaten some food by now, and that has a large part in it. You will probably decide that sitting down and relaxing your body is the best idea, even if your head is still buzzing with activity and abstract ideas. Cannabis.

Some people say it's like being drunk - but it's not. It's VERY hard to explain, so normally when someone asks me i just say try it for yourself. To me, it's the best feeling in the world. When im stoned, im happy. I'm stoned all the time. I'm happy all the time. Theres things i want, but dont need, and because im stoned, im happy and content.

Those are a few words that describe or are related to my current high; feeling and focusing on all at once.

Being high is like normal life, except every event is prefaced by the word "so". Food is so tasty. The sun is so bright. You are so happy. Life is so beautiful.

This is the best description I've heard so far. I was actually thinking about this before I read the thread, and I was trying to put my thoughts into words (wasn't working). Thank you for being so succinct! :)

There are too many aspects of the cannabis high/stone (and also too many aspects of our own brains what we don't understand). Too many aspects to think about at once. Too many aspects to put into words. But I would agree that one of the main aspects is the overall increased intensity of everything.

I get really focussed on whatever I'm doing. This music is so good. My mouth is so dry. That gatorade is so refreshing. I am so high. That light is so bright. You guys are so cool. This music is just getting better. Hotboxing is so fun. That cop is so annoying. We are so screwed. etc :)

Story: Last night we were hotboxing at 1am at a local park. But parks close at dusk, so a copper showed up. Naturally we started to freak out, because the situation was So Intense and we were all high as fuck. He took everyone's ID and went back to the blue car. We all thought we were going to get written up. He was taking a long time. Then he comes back, and asks "so none of you guys are 18?" at which point we all respectfully said something like "no sir, my birthday is 7 July 1987 and I'm 19 sir" and he was just like "oh. I must be getting old. I see, you're 18 too? OK. Well, just so you know, the park closes at sunset because sometimes we have problems with criminal activity. have a nice night." WTF? We had stopped smoking like 5 minutes before he showed up, so it's IMPOSSIBLE for him to not smell the green on our breaths. He spent like 5 minutes sitting in his cop car staring at our licenses and trying to work out our birthdays and ages in his head or something? Through the entire ordeal, I was freaking out (I was in the driver's seat). I was SURE I was going to get straight up busted by this guy. But he kindly told us that sometimes bad things happen in dark parks, so we should get out of there. It was SO surreal. He didn't write us up. He didn't ask permission to search the car. hell, I've met complete strangers at starbux who are nosier (and smarter) than this cop. At least he was nice :)

Good description, but the only problem is that it's a tad different for everyone; so the truth is, it is truly indescribable. But you did describe it very well for the general effects ;).

+rep for being able to come up with a good one.

For me, the first hit gives a fuzzy-headed feeling, and everything just "feels alright." After the next few hits, everything seems brighter, but at the same time, kind of dim. When I smoke a whole bowl, my vision shifts and everything looks very surreal, kind of dreamy, and fake. Also, sometimes it seems like I'm looking through a wide-screen (like in the movies). When I'm stoned, I just can't feel my body, and I can't think complex thoughts.

Basically, when you're stoned, it's like a wave of numbing-energy that flows through you. It also is dependent on the strain and species... sativa for the head high, indica for the body stone. Sativas have a much more complex, up high. If you're not experienced, sativa strains could make one paranoid.

But yes, the general effect of all cannabis is that things become kind of surreal, interesting, and funny. Pure indicas often have a lethargic, and narcotic-like stoned feeling. Your body becomes numb, a buzzing... fuzzy forehead, and what-not.:stoned:

Peoples' voices sound different, I tend to think in a more abstract manner some times, music sounds better, I'm relaxed (depending on where I'm at), and my stresses flow away. I feel as if I'm being cleansed, or after I'm done with energy work/rituals, I feel very calm and peaceful.
I can sense other peoples' vibes more easily after sparking it up, and it's easier to commune with the spirits/god/goddess. As far as seeing funny colors, that happens after I close my eyes. Nobody would be none the wiser if they saw a blind person smoking a joint, most of the time. I see it as a gift from the Gods, and I treat it as such.

Answer from somebody who has been blind since she was fairly young:

" Yes, blind people do dream. What they see in their dreams depends on how much they could ever see. If someone has been totally blind since birth, they only have auditory dreams. If someone such as I, has had a measure of sight, then that person dreams with that measure of sight. I still dream as though I can see, colors included. For people I've met since, their faces are just blurs or how I imagine they look. To me, someone like my mother looks forever 30. "

It starts in my forehead, and warm tingly feeling that makes my face kind of heavy. Than it goes to my brain, as Hardcore Newbie (sick rap btw bro) said I am only thinking in the present. Can't describe much more of it, too hard to explain. I ttruely believe everyone reacts differently to cannabis.
