Have been checking out this site for a while for info on my grow. It actually just started with me droping bag seed into some soil to see what would happen and the seed just took off so I'm tring to do my best with it. Will post some more pics soon. Here as some from week 2.

Here are some pics up to today after some LST. Coming along very weel since I repotted and using nutes. Got to love the pink string I used for training. Any comments on the grow? You see I have another one on the go as I want two going at the same time incase I get a male!! The other compact fluro I put in just for a bit of extra light for when I bent the top growth over.

You mean the HPS bulb? Because I have touched mine quite a few times, and its still ok. I mean, when you are ripping down a grow cuz there are cops and dogs running all around the neighbors house, not touching the bulb was the last thing on my mind.

To run a 400HPS, you'll need to organise some proper ventilation- and opening a closet door a couple times a day doesn't count!

Fans moving air around in a closed space don't cool anything- they just distribute the warm air around- and add a bit more from their own motor.

You need to pull fresh, CO2 laden air in from outside the op airmass and dump waste heat and humidity transpired from plants to someplace where it can not be easily pulled right back in the grow. An ability to properly ventilate a space will dictate whether you can grow in it or not. If you can't vent it, you either won't get any buds or very few, poor quality ones.

CFLs are OK for clones, seedlings and slow vegging some mums, but they're a real compromise in flowering. Cannabis needs the high intensity light from HPS to make dense, heavy buds. However, if you can't move enough air to cool the HPS though can get enough in for the plants and a bit more, flowering with CFLs may make the difference between growing a little or none at all.

Tall plants are not the friend of the indoor grower. Even powerful HPS lighting has only so much foliar penetration ability. I use 1000W HPS in my SoG op; they make good buds about 33-36" deep, so I grow the plants to suit the light. A 6 foot tall plant would produce very little beyond the 3-4 foot range of a 1000 HPS. The answer is easy- grow 'short' plants indoors, no taller than the foliar penetration depth capability of your lights.

If you plan well and use a space that can be ventilated, you'll get top notch buds at very little cost- and never have to buy on the black market again. If you fail to plan, plan to fail.

what kind of soil?
I only ask because you said you just dropped them in some soil?

just make sure you know that adding nutes to regular soil is different than a soilless mixture....(at first at least)

otherwise awesome so far!

the last thing i would b worried about is the light bulb with the cop s on my arse , with 1 or to plant s y run ? hahahahahahaha

every space i think need s air coming in and out that s obivous , u r right tall plant s arn t ideal 4 indoor , but with the way the laws r i grow 2 big plants rather than 4 little 1s and thank god i never hav 2 buy buds a gain, that s on a 12 week cycle , aus bod look n sweet as m8

Even if you have strict plant count limits, you can grow short plants. Prune off the mainstem after vegging for a few weeks, the plant will bush out horizontally for you. :)

I've got her in a mix of good quality potting mix with 1/4 perlite and 1/4 peat. Have got some more pics coming tonight as she has started to really take off.

Yeah, Will do next time. It was full but after a few waters it has compacted due to the peat. The mix is still quite fluffy though. I will post some more pics soom as I have put her on a 18-6 light cycle and has almost doubled in size. Flower soon!!!!!!
