So about 10 days ago, i noticed the leaves on my plants turning conintually yellow with the edges of the leaves crisp and curling downward...was advised it was toxic salt build up...so i flushed with botanicare clearex and fed with 1/4 strength nutes (bio-bloom, liquid karma, cal-mag) at a ph of 6.8...waited four days and fed again with 1/4 strentgh nutes this time without the liquid karma with a ph of 6.5...leaves are still looking yellow with the leave near the bud region beginning to green up again...are they recovering and the damaged leaves will just stay yellow or will they green up...its wk 4 of flowering for my plants....leaves look like hell but the buds are still growing strong...any ideas? i'm gonna go get some pics

well that sure looks like some sort of deficiency to me but I don't grow in soil so I couldn't tell you which one. Have you checked out this link? It's pretty good and has great pics of different problems..

good luck...;)

i'm not sure...looks a lot like a possible nitrogen deficiency...but it has been ten days since that pic...plants now have even less leave as a great deal have dried crisp and fallen...think i may try giving em full strength nutes (something i have never done b-4)...i figured the Happy Frog organic soil would only need a slight boost...i may be wrong so will give one some water tomorrow and check the ph...if its ok then i'm gonna mix a cocktail of bio-bloom, liquid karma and cal-mag for my smallest plant...if it responds well i'll do the same for the others...if it responds poorly i am going to flush them again (last flush was 10 days ago)...could it be impatience or are my plants just fucked up...excuse my french but i'm becoming very frustrated with my first grow...i liked it much better when i had the outdoor option but i'll press on...tasted some of the skunk #1 today and although it looks like crap the buds are fantastic...the other plants are really struggling

ok so i went down today...water them with one part peroxide and 4 parts water to kill any bacteria cuz i've been noticing an awful smell when i water...Ask Ed said that its likely bacteria from over watering or too dense of a soil composition...i maybe shoulded added more perlite...anyhow i watered and the runoff was completely clear...no nute solution stains or anything...some i'm gonna go take fresh pics...if the water is so clear i don't think the flush is required...maybe fresh pics will help

one more try...hope u like the pics...the plant in the top right corner of my room is skunk #1 at wk. 7 (note first pic)...2 in the front are NLx and one in top left is durban/skunk #1 all at wk. 4 (note 1st pic)...i really need some advice...check my threads above b/c i left a great bit of detail...by the way the white spots are from a bug treatment i did 3 days ago (i didn't find any bugs but wanted to be safe-only takes 3days to deteriorate for a safe harvest so i thought it couldnt hurt)...please help they look like hell
couple thing , dude. the two biggest problems people have with their first grow is too much water and too much ferts (some call it loving them too much). it looks from here like too much ferts . if thats the case , and I think it is , after you flush with ph'ed water, DON"T feed for a while. The burnt leaves are not gonna heal ....your looking for your new groth to be healthy.

This may be completely useless information as i grow hydro, but, last year i hhad 2 of 6 plants go incredibly yellow. I had no idea why, and nor did anyone on here!
It turned out my airstones were blocked, and my roots were getting no oxygen, therefore they rotted and died.
Basically what im suggesting is that you may well be overwatering to the point of rotting your roots??
The smell you mention, if it really is quite a nasty smell, could be the same smell i experienced from the rotting roots?
For you i hope its not the case, but i feel you ought to try and find out?
fingers crossed for you :)

yea...i read in my "ask ed" book the same thing so i treated the plants with water with hydrogen peroxide which adds oxygen to the plants...then i flushed em...so my next watering i plan on doing the same...1 part peroxide...4 part water...should help from what i've read...and i've greatly reduced my watering...thanks for your input

ok so my plants look worse after the flush...they are even more yellow and sickly...the areas near the bud regions were beginning to green up a lil begore the flush and now are yellow like the rest of the plant...any ideas? 2 flushes in 2 weeks may have been too much for em to handle...i got liquid karma, bio-bloom and topmax...would the karma in a light dosage help pull the plants thru...or would it do more harm then good?
