I was out last night, at about 12:30am. I was comming up to some traffic lights [that were green thank god] but i slowed down slightly anticipating change before i got there, and to my left there was a small gang of about 7 teenagers. That's a normal sight in London - normally more than 7 though. Anyway, as i went past i looked and saw something by one of these kids legs, and at first i though it was a branch from a tree or something, but as i kept going the street light lit it up and it was a fucking 4 foot samurai sword. They were just standing there wtih it on full show. The way things are going these days they were probably planning to use it on someone too. Why is there never cops when you need them? Anyway, i just thought i'd post this coz i seriously couldnt belive the cheek - they just had it out in the open and didnt care who saw it. Un-fucking-believable.

Sorry to hear that man. I read about it in the paper. It's out of control in London now - i mean, it's like every week a teenager gets killed, probably more than that. The whole thing with gangs is out of control - i remember the days when you could walk around London at night on a stag party and go whereever - end up in soho and in the drinking clubs. I wouldnt want to do it these days though.

And what makes it worse is it's over silly things like people looking at someone the wrong way and shit. It's such a waste of life - and the people doing it just dont care.

Nah, it was Red Deer in Alberta. It's not a huge city at about 80,000, I mean compared to the US, that's a town, but it was a nasty problem. A shelter was about 15 minute walk from downtown, and they'd go to pretty much the only soup kitchen in the city. They'd all hang out down there, all tweaked up. Downtown was where the drugs were, the soup kitchens, outdoor parks with firepits and roofing...everything was down there, including a few methodone clinics.

Me and my buddy were walking down there once and this chick asked me for a smoke. I don't smoke ciggs., so I said no, and she flipped on me threatening to smack me in the face. :p

From what I've been told though, the city is now actually doing something to stop or slow down the homelessness there. They just got 1 million dollars over a 2 year span to help the homeless. Good to see as walking down there was a total wasteland. Tweakers everywhere.

Just this year theres been a really sharp rise in the amount of peolpe shot and stabbed - i've lost count now of how many kids have been shot in their own homes by other gangs now. We've got 7 year old kids in primary school selling coke and smack and carrying guns. Now that's fucked. They're not even meant to know what drugs are at that age. When im talking about it with people they dont always belive me - and i can see why. It's so mental these days. We have these amnesty's but the next day they just upgrade. On my birthday I stopped off at the pawn shop and found a beautiful fantasy sword for cheap. (36" blade) I was on the bike so I really had no options except for making a harness out of rope and strapping it to my back. LOL....the dude at the pawn said I looked like Biker He-Man. Guess the Harley was a sub for Battlecat. LOL

Yep I have to agree with LIP on this one gun crime is rocketing over here.
After the Dunblane massacre our goverment took all the guns from decent honest law abiding gun owners (like me) christ almighty even our Olympic shooting team has to go abroad to practice as even they are not allowed
guns.
The end result of this is that gun crime in the UK has risen 70% there is hardly a day goes by now without a killing so what is our goverments answer to this, they are now trying to ban air weapons soon to be followed by water pistols no doubt, I am probably being a bit cynical as I am just pissed off at not being allowed a gun and I never shot anybody (although I might make an exception for little pricks carrying samurai swords)

You then start 'Reppin your ends' you and your mates are proud to be from the estate/part of the city that your from so you maybe go by a name so people know who you are and that your estate aint pussys, you have a few fights with other estates maybe do some tagging around there bits. Then one day one of your mates gets jumped by another area so you all get together n go down there n have it out. Then you have your enemy, one of your mates brings a knife out one day, then most of your mates bring knifes out. You want to go shopping with your gf one day but you cant cause that means going to another area on your own wiuthought your boys..That means theres a big chance your going to get caught 'Slipping' and you don want that. So you take a knife. Then it moves up a notch to guns, if your enemys got guns you gotta get guns otherwise your obviously gona loose. The goverment say instant 5 years just for possesion of a gun but its either risk getting 5 years or garunteed loose your life once your a top boy, if your seen withought your boys your gona get jumped, n there gona have a gun so if you dont have one your gona get killed.

On top of that its a child abuse hot spot, some of the ways I see parents treating their kids in the supermarket is shocking.

Slightly taken aback by the young man's attitude, he starts touching my stick, and I'm thinking, what the fuck's it got to do with you you little shit... Reticently I respond, ... well I painted it... meaning I found it and varnished it up nice. "Painted it?!", he screws his face up at me again. So I'm kind of starting to wonder where all this is leading and I'm looking for an opportunity to kind of leave the scenario whilst retaining some kind of dignity, I'm not about to be made to look like a fool by a young man like him, nor am I prepared to risk a family feud or worse going to prison for assaulting a minor back, I wonder if I might be justified in telling him to go and mind his own fucking business or i'll be forced to give him a clip round the ear hole.

Well, yeah. The woman was arrested for theft - but it was because she didnt throw a ball over her fence. It wasnt theft at all, but the police still nicked her. It's like them arresting people for speeding by 1 MPH. As an example of how everythings fucked, a copper off duty was cuaght speed at over 100 MPH and got off it completely, but if that was a normal person they'd have been fined the shit out of, get your licence taken away and possibly prison.
