bud regrowth

Ok quick question here...my plant's growin buds right now and I'm thinking of cutting them off and drying them out, but I was wondering...can a plant regrow buds after some time? I'm guessing not but I thought id ask anyway

Don't do that.
Wait until they are ripe, then cut them.
Buds will not 'regrow' at that site on a flowering plant in its normal cycle.
You can reveg it after but that will take a while.

how do i know when they are ripe?

read up on trichomes.
first the hairs will start to turn brown, then later the trichs will go cloudy... theres charts around here if you look hard enough

When all the trichomes go 90% brown I harvest the tops And let the bottom flowers fill in for a week or two.
