Got a little sumthin sumthin cookin up in the backyard. Been around perhaps 2 weeks or so, wasn't counting, just going with it. So far everything has been going decent, possibly a little slow but that's cool.
My little babies are sitting quietly in a armoir/cabinet type of thing I had laying around in the shed.
The date on the camera is a little screwy so don't mind that.. Still looking for mylar of any kind.

The reflective surface picture is a piece of insulation used for the outside of houses. Makes the cabinet hotter though.

Some more.
The fan is from an old computer. It is directed at the main plant.
The last pic is what I used when they were ever so tiny. Used a 42W CFL inside.

Update: Went out and grabbed myself some reflectors.
Plants are looking healthy. Some have very tiny yellow spots on their leaves.Although this may be natural or the slow release MG kicking in at a bad time.
I also picked up another 2x 27w's and another 42 watter. Currently running roughly... around 150 watts of CFL's. Could have used an HID lamp instead of these lights for the same wattage but... meh.

Thought I'd add some more pictures. Pictures are always helpful in some way or form.

Update: Things are looking good. Heat is a little problem on hot days. Need a bigger fan!
Temps were up to 39 degrees C one day upon entering.
Humidity levels are steady hovering around 38-55.

More images of the newest batch of pics...
Last night, I had a few seedlings in cups that I tipped over. Poor fellas.. I put 'em back in their cups as gently as I could. I'm sure they'll be alright. You can see soil on the floor in the third picture.
One seedling is currently drooping a tad but it could be a possibility of too much stretching and too much weight at the top. Not enough direct light for 'em at the moment.
I like to take a lot of photos at the biggest plant.. It's so beautiful!

Thanks for the compliments. Still need a fan, mylar, air exhaust, intake... Might continue to grow them veg untill they get rather too large to fit into the cab and keep only one or two in there and take the rest outside to a remote location.

Everything is growing fine. Added a heater that has the option to run the fan only which works great. Temps dropped about 7 degrees C bringing the total to around 25-27 C on average.
Added some MG slow release fert in the soil (high in N)
Put up some more reflective insulation around the cab as well.
Also recently got myself a motion alarm. Going to run a wire to where I sleep with a speaker next to the bed. (pic of alarm in post below)

Oh it's so easy. Strip the wires of the fan and a 12v adapter. Mines using 3W apparently so it's not much power at all. Strip the wires from the adapter as well so the wires are showing. Just connect each wire to the other. My fan only had 2 wires coming from it, some have three so I wouldn't know if it would be as simple as mine or not.
Just connect the bare wires from the adapter to the bare wires of the fan and badda bing! I just hooked up another fan to the same wires BUT the bigger fan that I already had in there runs slower now because the other fan is sucking some of the juice.

I'll keep looking for mylar definately.. I checked the local walmarts, home depots, next I'm going to stop by a local garden center. Place is as big as a walmart, they aught to have some.
Hmm.. Good question about how many I got going in there. I never actually counted! Looks like I have 8 in total. Two in germination/seeding stage in the little cups, two containers doing double plants (the big container and the styrofoam cup with the medium sized plant), and two single plants in their own place.
Good little spot for vegging for a while, pretty discreet I'd say.. Can't wait to hook up the alarm.
Oh and for the wattage.. I try to keep it as low as possible unless I get worried my babies aren't recieving enough light and I'll add a few 15's to pump it up a bit.
2x 42W (2600 lumen) CFL
2x 26W (1600 lumen) CFL
1x 15W (900 lumen) CFL
= 151W
Sometimes I'll take out one 26 watter if I get paranoid about the power consumption. The entire grow is used with a couple extention cords to the house.

You wont get mylar at HD or Walmart. Best shot will be a Hydro shop or maybe even a party balloon place.
Or order it and save.

Tonight, temps around 19C. Frost on the car windows.
Hovering around 49 or so F.
Can somebody please move to the grow log forum? That would be more appropriate...
Plants looking 'sluggish' almost. Leaves drooping but the leaves are getting bigger! More weight possibly dragging them down a bit.
I do, although have a question for anybody reading this who knows:
My soil.. how does it look by any chance? I give it a decent lil watering near the stems and around it. Should I be complely saturating the entire pot's soil?
I do the same technique roughly 2 times a day on average. Too much water? Little maybe? I don't wanna hurt these little fellas because of a watering problem.

Update: Biggest plant seems to be drooping, almost welting or just from heavy weight, not entirely sure.
Second plant has what seems to be a yellow burn mark. I added a small amount of 10-10-10 in the morning, perhaps this is the reason.
Transplanted the two plants in the cup to a medium container. They are very close, almost like a "V" right now.. Hopefully they will prosper.
Had a 27 watter turned off for the past few days. Plants not recieving much light are a nice dark green. Enjoying the shade perhaps?
All the updates for now.
Can someone please move this to the apporopriate section, or is this alright? I'm going to log the entire effin grow. This seems enjoyable. Will keep my busy I know it, which is great.

Not sure if this will help, but I had one bush out of 8 that was way droopy, nothing I did made it happy... except two heavy waterings with zero nutes in the water. As of today I wouldn't even recognize it if I didn't number the plants, it looks that much better.
Just an idea.
As for moving the log, maybe just start an actual log in the log section and link to this and then update the new one.

Good idea. Yes the watering helped! Apparently it likes a very wet soil. The leaves and branches stiffened out more the morning after. Good to see it looking at its best.
This will be continued in the logging section...
