i pinch the stems very lightly until i hear a little crunch. ....then i give them some healing time; about 3-5 days and gently do it again.

Stem thickness is partly strain dependent and I cull any strains that are wussy.
Good breeze early in the plant's life leads to strong stems.
I have found that skunk#1 and thunderfuck have ridiculously sturdy stems, yay

an oscillating fan throughout the plant's growth will make for strong stems (but nothing will help, if you simply have too much 'stretch' from not enough light) :smokin:

i use a fan and a potassium boost (Barricade by Advanced Nutes)...

Oscillating Fan's , roots mass , nutes , lighting , genetics all play a role into stem thickness. Lots of roots + fans + lights = thicker stems. (Im prolly leaving out some things that contribute to thicker stems also like humidity, plant height , rate of growth, along with other factors but hey im not a phd) LOL wow that bong did me well.

bend them and tie them down for two days then bend the other way and tie down for two days. after that tie back all the fan leaves using twist ties so all the groth is in the light leave this for abought 4 days then untie. during this whole procedure turn up your fans a little. be carful dont force the bends and dont force anything you will be in shock when you see the results!!!!!!

Agreed. I have a Mazar thats responding well to LST. The stem thickened up quite a but a few days after the first tie-down.
