if theres one thing that you can take to help, that would be protein. the protein will definitely help with the pains and you will also get pretty buff

haha wanna know what hells' like?? try going through my highschools summer weight training program. 40 40 meter sprints. Then go run sprints up a hill. Then lift fucking hardcore. The next day...do relay races in the fucking 120 degree weight room, then go out and do tae-kwan-do...making you hurt so much the next day you cant even sit down to take a shit. Yeah...it fucking sucks..but what do u expect? we have one of the best high school football programs in the state of missouri...with 7 state championships..including 1 undefeated season last year..football is pretty much what our school is known for

Take a hot bath to relax those muscles. Take a pain-killer- aspirin, tylenol, whatever. Smoke a fattie. You'll still hurt in the morning, but you'll survive.

What you won't survive, is being diabetic, with a heart condition, sore joints, and all the other ills that being overweight brings!

Keep it up! - Granny (who's lost 60 pounds and still has 40 to go!) :hippy:

I'm not trying to get skinny here. I wanna get jacked now. The only problems I'm having is endurance, which I know I need to lose some weight. I'm the only freshman linebacker =)

Do this drill:

Maintain a frisk jogging pace and every 2 minutes, you start sprinting for 10 seconds, then go back to the previous pace. After you get use to do doing it, do it for 15 seconds, every 100 secs, and build from there.

Running feels great, I just started running everyday for an hour and I've been in a better mood and lost like 4lbs.

Problem with that is that if youre already fat, lifting and NOT losing weight will just make you fatter, granted, you will be muscular, but you wont necessarily look any better.

I really am happy that you're doing this man. Stock up on protein and carbs (protein for building new muscle tissue, carbs to keep your muscles energized so you don't get sore), drink PLENTY of water and take your daily vitamin.

There will most likely be times when you want to quit. DO NOT QUIT. Simple as that my friend.

TheFatKid

As of tommorow, I am going on a strict protein and good carb diet. I'm also going to start jogging, running, and lifting. My goal is to lose fat, and gain muscle, hopefully at an even rate.

If you hurt after lifting or exercising just smoke a little. Don't smoke BEFORE you lift, though, otherwise you'll never lift in the first place.

So I guess weed can alleviate any kind of pain in multiple ways. Pretty cool.

Be careful not to do too much too soon, or you could get shin splints or even stress fractures. A little pain is okay, but by starting cautiously, you won't be sidelined by injury-
Soon you will have to change your name to slim n' strong!

aspirin and tylenol are pain relievers, not pain killers

Sometimes I really miss them..

i remember my first double days in football
some of the worst soreness came from football lifting
there is one quote i will never forget by one of the conditioning coaches back a few years ago, "you're not going to die! ill tell you when you're going to die!"

whatever you do man dont give up. I remember football double days and sometimes its just plain miserable, just ignore that desire to say fuck it this sucks and keep it up. Your best friends will be made through the team, it was some of my greatest highschool experiences.

just so you know fat people who get really strong(ie just hit the weights and do no cardio workouts) but dont thin out still just look fat. just a friendly piece of advice. but if you are on the line then you are going about it the right way.

Join wrestling.

^this guy speaks the truth.
as somebody who both played football and wrestled in high school, i can attest that wrestling is BY FAR tougher and more grueling.
but man i had a ton of fun playing football those two years, definitely more fun than wrestling, wrestling was just too damn hard on you.

best thing you can do for yourself is take a look at your diet and break it down into three catgories of macronutrients:

1)Protein

2)carbs

3)fats

Protein and carbs should be relatively balcenced taking up roughly 40% from protein and 40% from carbs that leaves room for fats fats should be no more than 25% of your diet and if your doing it right you will know because for the first week or so you will get some raunchy ass farts i play football too at a nationaly ranked school so we get all this info spoon fed to us on a regular basis if you want a full break down and a 4 day work out program send me a pm and i will hook you up

You want pain, row. It's a sport that focuses not so much around skill and technique, but being able to acknowledge that pain, and push past it to win.
