Hey Gang!
I have some 3 week old buggers outside and I noticed that although they're all getting progressively taller, a FEW of them are starting to have slightly droopy leaves. The color looks good and stem strength is good as well. I have a funny feeling this is some sort of watering problem, but if anything it's a lack of watering.....Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance!!!

its not uncommon for the leaves to droop if they need watered so you are probably right it probably is a watering problem while most plants can survive very dry conditions if you want good growth you might want to water them occasionaly if it hasnt rained for awhile.

What's "a while"? I usually check every 3rd day....

plants naturally droop when they need water - WARNING ! - they also droop when they are OVER-watered - you have to determine the difference - :smokin:

If you are on a drip system there is a good chance you are over watering. Can we see some pictures please? Also, how old are the plants and at what stage of growth are they at? Flowering, seedling, veg, clone, etc. It is very easy to over water in the beginnings especially if you are trying to run the drip system 24 hours. Ive found a 2 hour off 15 minutes on for a bucket drip system works very well in the beginning stages of growth ie: clone and seedlings. Only you know your watering schedule. You said you usually check every third day but do you water every third day also?
Like these guys said drooping is natural, but only at night time when the plants are "sleeping", then they perk back up in the morning. Just try backing off the waterings a little.

Plants will droop if there is too little water, but they should recover within an hour or less after watering.
Pics would help....

It's an outdoor grow so I just check the little buggers and water them by hand if I feel that they need it. No fancy systems here! Before I water I check the dryness of he soil by poking a finger down as deep as I can go without disturbing roots. As for age, they're about 3 weeks to 1 month old and unfortunately I don't own a digital camera :(. I actually think they needed water (they perked right up after a solid watering) as it had been almost a week without rain. Thanks for the tips guys n' gals, they're always appreciated!:thumbsup:
