I was driving and found one of those machines that displays your speed. I wanted to check my speedometor because I know its inaccurate. The speed limit was 25 but I hit 35 and when I did the machine turned on a red light. Did it take a picture of my car and should I expect a ticket in the mail? Anybody deal with this before?

Nope.
It simply indicates that they went over the speed limit according to the setting. Btw, those things aren't always dead-on accurate. They need to be recalibrated at least once a month.

Those machines are usually referred to as Big Brother, and they are accurate, dunno why the guy above says they have to be recallibrated. Maybe he was thinking of the Red Light Cam. You dont have to worry about a ticket, they are there just to slow people down, or for young kids to see how fast they can actually go.

Well thanks for the lack of respect on your part. Please don't put words in my mouth. I stated what I stated.
Now to get back to the matter at hand, with use of the machine, sometimes the reading can be off. Scales are accurate as well, does that mean it shouldn't be maintained? The readings can go off with frequent use.
The other thing is your lack of using your brain. Obviously if you knew the meaning of calibration, you would know that red light cameras do not have quantitive measurements. lol!
