This board has done Pink Floyd, so let's do another incredible band from the classic era....

Personally, I could never decide. There's too many. Kashmir, Achilles Last Stand, Stairway to Heaven, That's the Way, Dazed and Confused, What Is and What Should Never Be, and MANY others come to mind.

So many..

Physical Grafffiti is my favourite alb, followed by III. Favourite tracks Kashmir, When the Levee breaks, The Rover.

I love Led Zeppellin they remind me of being 18 and free. Shame I didn't get into smoking pot until years later.

"Kashmir" is my favorite, and "When the Levee Breaks" is their best.

Has anybody heard the 12-minute live version of "No Quarter" off the live-album The Song Remains the Same? It's sick as hell.

The Rain Song! How did I forget that before....

OMFG I JUST BLEW MY 420TH POST! I wanted to be high to post my 420th, and make it something profound.....FUCK!!!

Well, I may as well reflect now, since it is my 420th....

Cannabis, you have altered the direction of my life completely...you have made me see beauty in all things, and realize the power and depth of putting effort in and succeeding in all you do. Cannabis, I don't care what laws say...you are a gift from whatever spiritual realm governs this world, and you have brought happiness to many people of all creeds.

Seriously, this is what cannabis is all about....the members of these forums, we are all very different....in gender, age, interests, backgrounds, ethnicities, upbringings, etc....but our hearts are one, united by the power and beauty of green.

Toke on, my brothers and sisters of the herb....hopefully this 420th reflection will get noticed somewhere, buried on a board that's not as popular....

I light the bubbler to all of you. Much love.

Black Dog anyone?? It surprises me that no one mentioned that one yet. (dazed and Confused comes in 2nd.)

Hey, hey, mama, said the way you move
Gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove.
Oh, oh, child, way you shake that thing
Gonna make you burn, gonna make you sting.
Hey, hey, baby, when you walk that way
Watch your honey drip, cant keep away.

*ah yeah, ah yeah, ah, ah, ah., ah yeah, ah yeah, ah, ah, ah.

I gotta roll, cant stand still,
Got a flame in my heart, cant get my fill,
Eyes that shine burning red,
Dreams of you all thru my head.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.

Hey, baby, oh, baby, pretty baby,
Tell me what you do me now.
(repeat)

Didnt take too long fore I found out
What people mean my down and out.
Spent my money, took my car,
Started tellin her friends she wants to be a star.
I dont know but I been told
A big legged woman aint got no soul.

* chorus

All I ask for when I pray,
Steady rollin woman gonna come my way.
Need a woman gonna hold my hand
And tell me no lies, make me a happy man.

The Rover, Houses of the Holy, and Communication Breakdown are in my top 10 and Kashmir is on the top of the list.

Reading this thread kind of pissed me off because I have the box set and one of my friends lost disc 9 and 10 and this thread reminded me of it!

I feel less of a fan now that I can actually choose one of the many great Zeppelin songs to be my absolute favorite. "That's The Way" has been echoing back and forth in my skull for sometime, and every time I switch on the DVD I fast-forward to that song, mainly because the subsequent tunes are all exquisite! Anytime I hear Zeppelin I rise to cheer! Whether it is the seriously overplayed "Rock N' Roll," or the less-played "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp."

The acoustic riff on Stairway To Heaven was actually lifted from an instrumental track called Taurus, written and recorded in 1967 by 15 year old prodigy guitarist Randy California. Randy, who fronted the band Spirit (along with stepdad Ed Cassidy), was once Jimi Hendrix's protege, having playing in Hendrix's early band Jimmy James & the Blue Flames. Spirit opened up for Zeppelin on many shows in 1969.

While Randy never made an issue of it, I find it somewhat disturbing that Page never really owned up to the lifting or offered any type of compensation to Randy, considering the massive sales figures that 'Stairway' have generated over the years.

Probably Kashmir. There are so many! Also When the Levee Breaks is very nostaligic for me reminds me of being 18 and drinking beer with my mates in a beautiful part of Scotland, sadly I didn't get into smoking cannabis until years later though. Also Going to California, Since I Been Lovin' You, and not forgetting THE ROVER I fucking love that guitar riff!
