Hello people,

I wanted your advice, I'm growing 1 Jack Herer and 2 Blue mystics indoors on 500w HPS.

I had a lot of males in this grow and didn't want the hassle again. Not finding out until flowering was disappointing. And I have no way to flower a cutting first.

So my female plants have about 3-4 weeks of flowering left, and I want to take clones from them. Is this possible? What grow shoots should I take?

Any help would be super,

Love Rob.

yes its possible but you will wealken the genetics,if your going to take any look for healthy branches at bottom of plant.

wow, so what does weakened genetics mean in terms of plant health? Less potency and yield? If so do you know how bad it would be?

I've never heard of that weakening the genetics, but you should be okay taking some cuts from the bottom of the plant. They will have to revert back to vegetative state, which might take a little while, but then you'll be ok and you'll have a nice plant to take female clones from. You might want to create a new mother when you can to stabilize it a little more. Good luck, man. Cloning rox.

Oh and another way to do this if you don't have room to flower test clones is to leave your plant in veg, and use a black plastic bag or brown paper bag (for better air circ.) and cover one branch of the plant to create a 12/12 cycle for just that one branch...then when you figure out that the plant is female, you can take your clones. :)
