I drive with my friend on drugs all the time(<--Bad). I never drive unless he's really, really messed up because I don't even have my license. This kid does drugs unable to be mentioned in this forum, and he's never been pulled over.

But driving stoned, I find one always drives 10mph under the speed limit and stares at the road constantly without blinking, focusing on the smallest of details and sometimes forgetting the simplest. Ever seen the movie Talladega Nights with Will Ferrel, when he was driving on the track at 15mph? That's your driving on drugs. Some people are even as careful enough as to stop at green lights, which is not a good thing to do.

I don't have a hard time with it. The only problem I have is time distortion. Either I feel like a 30 minute trip takes 3 hours, or I pull in my driveway, and don't remember what route I took, because the trip felt like it was just around the block, even though it may taken an hour or more.

i drive high pretty much everyday during school and out of school. i think driving high is very easy. its only been 2 years since i got my license but ive never been in at a point where ive smoked too much weed to not be able to drive. now i may get to lazy and not want to drive, but i always can.

no being drunk is another story, thats kinda easy if you can force yourself to pay attention, but can get a little tricky sometimes.

driving on weed ain't shit i have been all kinds of fucked up on weed and still had no trouble driving home i remember when me and my buddy rolled a half ounce and a quarter of some of his homegrown chronic into a 16 inch blunt wrap it took us 30 minutes just to roll the damn thing and about 3 hours to smoke it with 4 people in rotation needless to say i was all kinds of fucked up and after we smoked it i drove over to my aunt's house and drove just fine then again it is like an hour of nothing but dirt roads to her house so that helped me out driving on acid can be a bit of a pain in the ass though if you are tripping on some good shit been there a few times and it ain't fun believe me

I used to love it.

The forst time I did it baked out of my mind, it felt like some old flinstones shit. Felt likt I was moving the car with my legs... Which I was doing... Only it felt like I was in the car, yet, not in it... But still deciding what it did. Had a hard as balls time paralllelllelelele3l parking at first, though.

Now, I think it makes me a better driver, especially when I drive the big ass truck. Those turns with 3cm between you and a lawsuit just seem to go much better.

It gives me butterflies, too. I like it.

i'm a safer driver when i'm high, because i'm so damn paranoid and cautious. I drive slower. anyway, getting high and driving hasn't been an issue for like 5 years. with practice, you get use to it.

I've driven high for quite sometime. my GF always said she trusted my driving whilever i was having a J. Never drive wasted though, considering dank affects your body's motor skills. never a good idea..

I drive high everyday, and i've never been pulled over, or been in ANY crash, and i've only come close to a crash once, and that wasnt anything to do with me being stoned - i was rolling the joint to get stoned.
Anyway, i try not to roll, but stoned normally i can drive fine. I've been doing it for so long now almost everyday, that my perceptions are all fine, i can still judge speed well, spaces and time.

But i wouldnt advice anyone to drive REALLY fucked. If i get really fucked i lay down in the back of my van for an hour or two untill im good to go.

Me? LOL - I've been driving more years than you've probably been alive. I'm certainly not inexperienced in the slightest. I have also had advanced driving lessons, which cost me £600 - so experience is something i have alot of thankyou very much.

From my experience I have learned that driving while stoned is manageable, feasible, and in some ways , at least for me ...... safer. Now if you don't smoke all that much... and you get extremely high when you smoke............then DONT drive !!!! This can lead to errors in judgement and clouded thinking. One time I hadn't smoked in a long time and I smoked and got really ripped....... I was having a blast...... then I got in my car cause I needed to go do some things. Well I came to this red light and I stopped and looked both ways... it was clear... then I just drove right through the damn light !!! I didn't realize what I had done till it was too late and I was already through the light. I then realized how stoned I was at that point and drove straight home really careful. Mind you I have 17 years driving experience, 0 traffic citations,0 accidents on record, and rated ultra-preferred on my car insurance. However I really enjoy driving and smoking as long as your not too ripped. I have noticed I drive the speed limit, drive defensively more, and I don't get mad at discourteous drivers like I would if I was normal.

I don't wanna say that it's ok to drive stoned, but really I find that I'm able to concentrate really well and driving to me is so easy and as a regular smoker I'm able to control my high very well and the drug doesn't directly affect your motor skills like alcohol does. Just like all the drug commercials you might see on tv say don't operate heavy machinery until you know how you will react to the drug. Just use some caution and common sense.

I have to agree with the 'safety' feature of driving while stoned.

When I drive sober, I tend to go very fast, because, after many years of driving, I really just wanna get the drive over with and be somewhere at rest.

When i get stoned, I go slower and enjoy the ride much much more. Every now and then I'll speed up, but, i quickly get the paranoia and start thinking about what smacking a guardrail feels like and what being pulled over would be like. I also take a lot of windey-ass roads to elude the sattelites and police, so it gets really exciting when I'm in the truck and defying the laws of physics around back alley turns.

I will not reccommend that learners or beginners try it. However, no matter how skilled you are, you damn well know driving high for the first time is gonna feel weird. I drove high the first day i got my permit. I took my driver's test after 3 bowls, and passed. I failed it 3 times sober, though. To this day I still don't know how I parked it between the cones, though.

Being high isn't like being drunk. Slow feels like fast and fast feels more dangerous, unlike fast feeling slow after half a case and then skidding out on the one wet patch of the road on a turn and ending up on a year probation, every class known to man, and 4 days in prison. That never happened when I was baked, that's for sure. Senses don't get dull when I get high. Most people generally tell me they feel the same way about being stoned. Alcohol for me though is like a mixture of apathy and senselessness. Those two don't go together with a vehicle or even most life situations.

However, an airhead will tend to be an airhead, before and after a few bowls, not that I'm the judge of it or anything. I just calls it like I sees it. You just gotta remember to mind the road and not your friends or the joint/bowl/what-have-you. All the wrecks I've been in with stoners were almost exclusively caused by them paying attention to the smoke and ignoring the road. Even at 40mph, it only takes .2 seconds to cause an accident, if you're careless.

Pretty much the only place I get high is driving, my mom doesnt like me to smoke at home despite its the one place I wont get arrested, so I drive and smoke and she can pay my bail if I get poped....but when I'm stoned I drive just as good as normal...I drive past cops all the time always obeying the laws and limits not even worried about the bowl in my hand.

I love driving high, except when its cold out.

When its cold, like inside my car or outside, I get tense as all hell, and paranoid.

If its a nice cool summer night like it usually is here in Huntsville, then I absolutely love driving with the windows down for hours, going up to the mountain, just driving around town... its great.

The key thing is to know your body and your limits. Ive avoided driving before when I felt I was too high to be safe, for two important reasons.

1. I dont want to die.
2. Government and anti-pot people dont need another excuse as to why pot is bad.

Mainly just the first one though... yeah.

I was just driving stoned this morning in LA rush hour traffic..I seen 2 accidents on the 110 freeway...once I got off the 110 onto the 5 then onto the 10 then the 57 and finally the 60...I was home free. LOL

We have so many friggin freeways out here.

I think someone said something about parallel parking: I have one particular friend I smoke with a lot, he's a fine driver high (a bit slow maybe) but every time he parks on the curb the car ends up like four feet away from it.

My best friend said she actually thinks I'm a better driver stoned, even thou she often may have to remind me where we're going and why, she says my skills seem to improve. Although if I have a choice, I'd rather not have to focus on driving while stoned. :D
