'Sup dudes.

I did a little work experience at my stepdads firm the other week. Basically he's head solicitor of a firm that supplies lawyers, etc to music artists and record labels :D . Anyway, I had to mission it to his office in Fulham to take over for 3 hours while him and his lawyer homeboys went to the office christmas party, which basically means I had to pick up the phone when it rang and take messages.

One of the messages I took was from a delightful bitch from MTV, it kinda went like this:

Me: Hello, <companies name>, how may I help?
MTV: Hi, this is <bitches name> from MTV. I need the dates for the blahblahblah....
Me: Woah, hang on. Is there anyone you'd like to speak to personally?
MTV: What? Who is this?
Me: Sorry, noones here at the moment, can I...
MTV: Put me through to <my stepdad>.
Me: He's not in right now, he's at the off...
MTV: Put me through to <stepdad's partner>.
Me: I'm sorry but there's noone here right now, can I take a message?
MTV: There's noone there right now?!
Me: No, they're at the offi...
MTV: I need to speak to a lawyer, put me through to a lawyer... Please.
Me: I'm sorry, everyone's out, can I take a...
MTV: What do you mean everyone's out? How can the whole office be out? I need to talk to a lawyer.
Me: Well everyone's at the office Christmas party, can I PLEASE take a message for you?
MTV: No. <hangs up>

About 30 seconds later the phone rings again.

Me: Hello <stepdad's company>, how can I...
MTV: So your telling me there isn't a single person there I can talk to?
Me: No, there isn't. Why don't I take a message for you?
MTV: I don't want you to take a message, if I did i'd ask you wouldn't I?
Me: ...uhh
MTV: I need to speak to a lawyer.
Me: Well it's not gonna happen 'cause there arn't any, shall I take a message or not?
MTV *silence with some mumbled swearing* No, actually, you can't.
Me: OK. Sorry I can't be...
*hangs up*

Fucking bitch man. Properly going on at me, i've never heard anything like it. Is everyone with a job in the media industry like that? My stepdad assures me they are.

Yeah, so you have the right to call the people at MTV pricks, do so with pride. ;)

Oh yeah, I spoke to Joss Stone too. Should've told her how fine she is.

Laters.

Lol, it probably does actually. Another guy called on behalf of Stuart Price, the drummer from the Stereophonics and gave me the same, although he calmed down after a while. :p

Spoke to some pretty greasy sounding American lawyers too  . Anyone see that Simpsons when Apus wife goes to get a divorce? :D
