Is there any particular reason Arjan uses pH around 5.5-5.9. I always heard 6.8, but they seem to grow very fine herb
heres one of the plants they've grown, but they have many others that are at these slightly acidic pH

I would say they know their strain linage. Knowledge of your strains parents and cross polymorphs allows a skilled grower to always make sure that the proper nutrients are available to the plant at the proper time.
If you look at the chart in the grow FAQ section you will see what nutrients are available to the plant at any given Ph level.
That's why you monitor the Ph on your grow in the first place. Don't you monitor that on your grows?

I appreciate you tellin me about those charts. I took a look at them, and it looked as though the ideal pH for soil was 6.5. It's amazing how good of a grower Arjan is. I have noticed they use a higher pH and higher EC on indica plants, and It's funny you mention my pH. The plant I have now I tested with my pH tester ( although I'm not 100% sure its calibrated quite right, I have had it a year, the needle did move from 7 to 7.2 so I dunno). I used coffee grounds to slightly lower the pH, Maybe you could help tell me whats up with this plant, Zandor, I have been trying to figure it out for about 3 days now.
