Yeah, here's my thread from the TV section.

I think it's a rare movie in the fact that I doubt it's something they carry at Blockbuster. It's different, and that's what makes it genuis. You definitely have to keep an extremely open mind when watching it though.

Slip helped out with this link if you haven't seen it.

According to an interview with bit-part actor Jeff Pang (who plays himself), many of the party scenes in the film were completely unscripted. The cameras would roll and the "kids" would just get drunk, get high, and play around. There is debate however, as to whether the 'blunt-rolling tutorial' scene in Washington Square Park used real marijuana or not.

I remember going to see Kids with my two mates at an art cinema when I was at university, one of whom bagged out half-way, somewhat vocally and mannerly inferring his disgust at the movie and its portrayal of child sexuality, leaving myself and my other mate sitting there for the rest of the movie quietly pondering his absence, and the rest of the film.

I can't remember it being that outrageous really, I'm sort of still glad in a way it wasn't. We were unable to convince my mate that he was overreacting a little when we eventually came out of the cinema at the end to face him there waiting with some rehearsed polemic attempt to justifiy his abrupt out-deciciveness.

Anyway, has anyone seen that Thirteen?

I've not, but I imagine its something along the same lines as Kids, judging from the cover and caption. Whenever I see that it video stores I always have this image of a telephone box next to my old local off-license(alcohol tender) in Glasgow and this young girls voice in my head saying "Hey mister! Buy us a boatle eh buckfast will ye? Me and my pal'll gee ye a blow job if ye dae!"

I declined the offer every time in favour of retaining my stainless character, and a plastic bag full of premium lager!
