The photo below is a clone I bought from a local co-op on April 28. It's MasterxBubba, but from a different grower than my other MxB's.
When I got the clone home, the top was laying over and a bend in the stem. The stem eventually healed, you can see kind of a "knuckle" just under the vegetation where the wound healed.
This plant just sat with no noticable growth, other than the stem healing, for about three weeks. The original fan leaves deteriorated to the point they were blocking more light than they were absorbing, so I cut them off, a few days later she then started growing really nicely.
Light cycle has been 18/6 since I got her. She was on Superthrive & B-1 until May 12 (2 weeks - the plant didn't seem to be rooting very well.), then 1/4 nutes (A/N 3-part) until May 17, then 100% nutes until May 19, then cut back to 70% because of pH problem.
So, that's the history since I've had this little girl. For the last 3 -4 days she has been showing nice, steady growth. The thing is, there are trichomes on my leaves! I noticed trich's and pistils (? - white hairs) on the clone when I got her home, and that kinda confused me. Now, there are more trichs on the older leaves, what appear to be trich's on the new leaves, and I'd swear that looks like white hairs growing at the nodes.
Now, I'm not complaining, mind you. If this plant wants to veg with trich's on every leaf, I'll rename her "Bubble Bag Heaven" and sell a clone to every hash head on the planet. LOL
But getting back to reality, isn't it a little unusual to have trich's at this stage of the grow?
Is there some kind of disease or fungus that looks like trich's?
I wish this photo were better. Later today I'll read the manual and see if my camera has a macro mode for close-ups. But, under a magnifying glass, those little bumps on the leaves sure look like trich's, all standing in rows.
