First of all id like to say great forum and thanks to all the people here that make it run. Ive been a lurker but got some questions now as this is my first grow.

Heres the deal, first grow so i took some bagseed and germinated it. Out of 8 germinated seeds, 5 sprouted and after the kids found and pulled a plant out, i have 4 left. Lol. These are about 3 weeks old. The older leaves seem to wilting and there may be some mold forming on the top of my soil. I used miracle grow soil and added some perlite to it for better drainage. I have a 65watt flourex light(6825 lumens) on them right now but plan on transplanting the best 2 into a hydro system and putting a 400watt HPS on them. Anyhow, im inexperienced and cant tell if this is heat burn or burn from fertizilers in the soil, or a ph deficiency. ANy help appreciated.

Do you have drain holes on those pots? You need GOOD drainage. They look on the soggy side.
Also, the clear bottoms are letting light hit the roots... stressful to the plant... not good.
I see no sign of fert burn.
It was probably a little early to top them but get your drainage sorted out and they should be okay.
Transplanting into hydro? Hmmm... If I were you, I'd grow them bushy, take clones, adn get the CLONES going in hydro.

Yes, i do have 8 drain holes drilled in the bottoms and about 1 inch of perlite only on the bottom of the container but ive never seen water drain out the bottom. I didnt even think about the clear containers letting light to the roots so ill wrap those up with something. I like the clone idea so maybe ill do that instead. iF i did that would i still flower these plants at some point?

Thanks for all responses.

Yes but you will still have to repot them... soon is a good time, if you can see roots in the bottom of the pots they would like a larger home... use added perlite IN the soil in the next re-pot.

Heres an update. They seem to be doing pretty well. One of them was a male and 3 were females and theyre flowering now. Threw the male away. Heres some pics. Oh, added 2 small CFL's too.

Time to repot again! :D Go up to at least a half gallon pot each.
