After hours of time online reading and hours of time listening to The Grow Report (Thanks a ton Zandor) I finally feel like I am ready to grow

I happen to have access to many 400 watt HPS and MH high bay warehouse lights like these... High Bay Lights - High Bay Lighting, Metal Halide - Warehouse Lighting (http://www.warehouse-lighting.com/department/1/1/High-Bay-Lights.aspx)

Im pretty shure they are fine to grow with but thought I'de check and see if anyone knows something I dont.

I am going to build a stand so I can put the ballast on the floor with the mogul base on the end of an extension cord just like any other HPS ballast you would buy for growing.

I also plan on using a Hortilux eye hps bulb and an air cooled hood but I am unsure on how I will secure the mogul base to the hood. In pictures ive seen it seems there is a special mogul base that connects to the hood. Like this one http://i11.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/7e/c1/dbf7_1_sbl.JPG

Lastly since I have easy access to both HPS and MH should I use one of each continuously in my 3' x 3' x 5' tall cabinet grow. Or is it better to concentrate on MH only during seedling, vegative and HPS only during Flowering

Let me know whatcha think, Thanks

Use MH for veg, HPS for flower, OR just use HPS all the way through, they'll be a tiny bit more lanky; but 50k lumens from either will not disappoint. either way good luck!

Hey man hi and happy growing to you. I have a low-bay flood light with a 400w HPS that is a reliable unit. Had it running daily for over two*years and it only blinked a couple times. Not bad for a couple hundred. You should be fine what ever way you decide to run the lights, they're good stuff. Industrial is a good choice.
