Quitting for a loved one

Let's say, their's a guy or girl that really digs you, and wants to date, but can't stand the fact that you smoke. Would you stop smoking for him/her? I'm in that situation and if she does like me, then I'm deffiently quitting. I'm just wondering how many other people would.

i would quit in a heart beat for a loved one. the women i love will defenitely be more important to me than drugs. i made that mistake once, and i will never ever do it again.

Yeah my girl smokes with me almost as much as I do and yeah it's just part of who I am and what my interests are.. If a girl isn't open-minded enough to accept that then fuck them...especiallyyyy if it's just some girl you don't have a relationship with and just wants you to quit..

To contradict myself, if it were someone I was truly in love with and after reasonable discussions an agreement couldn't be reached I probably would just quit! (yikes..)

Hell no, because if I was to love someone, they would have to love me, and for someone to love me they would need to accept me, and getting high is part of my lifestyl, it's my hobby and something I do all day everyday. So if someone didn't like smoking bud they probably would want to be around me enough for them to care about me. I dont know if that made sence or not, I'm pretty baked.

though it doesn't define my entire life, my relationship with MJ and various other substances is an integral part of who i am. to love me is to accept me along with all of my eccentricities. though i imagine there might be circumstances under which i might consider the unthinkable, i doubt i would ever associate with someone who would ask me to do such a thing. at least it hasn't come up yet.

While I'd like to say yes, the answer is no. One, because I know how futile it is to attempt to change yourself when you know it's not bad, and you're just doing it for someone's irrational fears, and because if the person can't see past it (I would agree not to do it/be high around them) it's not really worth it.
