For a first grow (it sounds like a 1st) I wouldn't want to put too much into the hobby until you know you'll like the hobby. This is something I've figured out with other hobbies that have lost their lust, only after I've spent a good amount of money on them.
I would take the bulb you have and add a smaller one, should be good for 1-2 plants.

Are they 100 Watt equivalent? that would make them about 30 Watt real. Good to start, if your going to use Compact Flourescent lights look for 42 wat real (150 watt equivalent) they shoudl take you from seed to harvest just fine if indoors.

Dude just remember that light is very important but only part of the puzzle.
Temperature,
Humidity,
PH,
Ventilation,
Photoperiod,
Nutrients,
Just read your ass off and you`ll do ok.

hi guys...first off...he doesnt need a hps light to grow....nice grow or small grow....matter of fact....he will have a better control over his environment with the flour. light.....less heat....but with that said.....read some...i spent over 12 hours of reading the forum before i started to ask questions.....and dont listen to those who say you need a certain light...what you have is fine.....unless it is the equivilent to 100w....then you need to buy a couple more.....and if you are the one growing in the 2 foot area....DONT GROW...a rookie cant control his plants without killing them....unless you really take good care and control your plant's height....which you can....by keeping your Flourecent light close to your plant...maybe 1-3 inches away from the top.....but hey...experiment a little.....enjoy your grow

Temp of grow room 70F-80F should be okay.
Humidity around 70% whilst growing, and about 40% for flowering.
No ferts for 3 weeks as a rough guide.
Ph of water i shoot for around 6.3, get a digital probe from ebay, real cheap and easy to use.
Hope this helps.

Without being rude the best way to answer your questions is to read like mad some of the threads, you`ll find the same questions will be answered over and over again, BTW StinkyAttic is one of the best for advice.
Peace.
