My question is, for a small time user like me, what's the worse that can happen legally. Do leo's really care about small-time users who just want to buy a gram or less of weed? Will they set up a sting to catch small-time users? Or are they more concerned with dealers and people with large quantities of the stuff?

I just wanna be able to buy some weed, smoke it, get high as fuck, and mind my own business. :rasta:

They are pretty harsh, but I dont know Illinois cops so I dont know how close they follow it. Not to scare you, but theoretically they could lock you up for a month for a joint And six months for an eighth! THEORETICALLY. I dont know that they would.

i'm in illinois too. i'd say not many cops would care much if it was small ya know. but if you're ever in plainfield do not get pulled over by a cop because they are they are fricken everywhere and they suck.

in canada (well i know in a small town) they are assholes there follow u and shit sometime, and they try and get everyone but i could get away with smokin a joint they will js tell u to put it out and stomp it like crazy and u;; be back on ur way

Fuck, nothing compared to where I am...you get caught growing period, no matter how much it is, it's a felony.

You get caught with more then 10 grams, it's a felony...

I have the same feeling - the cops won't go to too much trouble for a small amount unless they want to be assholes about it (Chicago police are known to be assholes sometimes).

I'll just have to be very, very careful (i'm sure that goes without saying) 'cause if I ever got thrown in the slammer i'd probably get my ass kicked the first day. Then i'd get my ass kicked again by my fam when i got out.

i live in chicago i've been pulled over so many time's with weed on me it's crazy. but there not gonna fuck wit you like that every time i got locked up i spent aweek at the most in jail. and got out and there's been time's where the police have even let me keep my shit they got better shit to do joe this is chicago. every where you turn there's gang banger's and crack head's that's who they want they could care less about weed but the chicago police can be fucked up they like to plant shit on your ass if you keep gettin out of line.

In Mass, it just depends whose having a bad day and whose not. I was with 3 of my boys on a corner smoking and the cops snuck up on us. All they did was fuck with us .. they split the blunt and was like "whats this? oregano?" lol .. they took both blunts and destroyed them and went on their merry-own way. Real buzzkill!!!

Lol if you get cought by the polive and you be totally honest and sorry about it, im sure he will let you off with a warning. Just dont be an asshole and shit. Also i highly doubt someone that smokes grams at a time isnt going to get cought, so i wouldnt be as worried if i were you.
