Ok I have a few clones that are deep and I mean deep in the woods. I went to check on them today and they are showing signs of flowering. Did I put them too deep in the woods. They only get direct sunlight about 4.5 hours a day the rest. They are all about 18 inches tall. in a green house with supplemental lighting to start since April and just planted two weeks ago. Thanks

its the amount of darkness that triggers flowering while being planted in the woods or at the bottom of a hill could increase the dark hours some if it blocked the sunrise or sunset enough. even though its only getting 4.5 hours of direct light per day wich isnt enough for good growth in my opinion, its still far from dark for most of the day even if they are in shade.
you really need to know how many dark hours you area receives by looking up sunrise and sunset times for your area.

I checked all the dark times I know Its time to plant just wondering if the little available light was enough to not induce flowering, thanks. As for the hours I scouted this spot in the winter and didn't take into consideration the leaf growth of some of the taller trees farther away. I really wanted almost full sun light
