i get it from a guy at school and i never really ask him if its sativa or indica. do you even ask or even care, really all i care is that it gets me high. People get so caught up in "designer" weed. its just weed its not a car.
Is this just me? i love weed. i don't love blueberry, whitewidow white rhino, etc. i just love that Good Ol' Mary Jane. Most dealers just give weed a exotic name to jack up the price.

My dealer that I use now never really says strain name unlss I ask (but I know it's legit when I ask). It's always just some dank average priced, sometimes hooked up bud.

I don't see it the way you do. Most people prefer better weed. It gives a better high. If you must compare it to a car it's like this; any car can get you from point A to point B, but sometimes you'd rather be driving a nicer car with better handling, mileage etc. With weed you can take the basic high from mersh which is normal or you can smoke the good stuff and getter better highs without lots of the burnout effects. It's really up to you, but I'd take that fancy car anyday.

Don't get me wrong though, It's not like I won't smoke any kind of weed because I do. That's just my opinion.

I really like to know the different strains that I am smoking if they are accurate. Mostly because some of the different strains have a different kinds of highs. Selection is a wonderful thing when it comes to to the green. Peace...

don't get me wrong i would rather smoke skunk or chronic rather then mids, but some people make a big deal out of it. i have a friend that pays $60-$70 an 1/8 for really good dank and i pay 30 and his is better but i could get a fourth out of what he gets an 1/8th out of.

the only way ill care of the strain name is when i start growing it, and im choosing a strain...

I just give the bud a glance to see if it's good or not. Otherwise the strain isn't a big deal

We wouldn't care if there weren't strain names. We would just smoke Weed.
Since there Are, however, and because different strains are being bred for different effects, medical or otherwise, I like to make use of this fact. I like to know what i'm smoking so that I can judge marijuana better, grow marijuana better, and understand marijuana better. All of which have to do with the specifics of it's genetics, aka Strain.

Short answer, no. As long as it's good bud I don't care.

I don't care too much but it's always nice to know you're smoking premium, named stuff.

i really dont care what strain i get, as long as it gets me STONED. but i do like to ask if it has a name, and sometimes my connect tells if its indica or sativa

I jsut gotta mention that, unless you live in a med MJ state, or you know someone who grows. You are PROBABLY not getting some specific strain. Most likely not what your dealer says. Now if you are friends with a grower, or your dealer somehow has connection to a grower, and he doesn't lie, you should be getting some quality brand-name smoke. Same with MMJ states. Even if you buy from a dealer. If it's dank, and they tell you a strain name, and it's an HONEST dealer. You are probably getting a specific commercial strain. But i'd rather just get a MMJ recc....but to each his own. Oh and the whole shitty weed, compared to dank. I smoked some mids for a about a week and I don't think i'm ever gonna smoke that crap again.

if i am buying it from some one then i will always go with mids, for the way i smoke mids are just better than dank. It's all a personal preference

well a dealer can tell you any thing, i would rather go by the goodness of the bud rather then the name.

I usually like to ask the strain name just so i know. most of the time my guy knows, sometimes he doesnt.
i try to keep track of strains and what they were like. next time my guy has it and i have a choice between a couple different strains i know what to choose.
as for the indica/sativa ratio i dont care to much, but one thing i always keep in mind, if its kush or heavy indica, those always seem to kinda kill me.

most important though is price. the one thing that REALLY matters, the rest is really mostly fun, cause in the end it all gets you high
20 a G - bomb nuggets
15 a G - some decent stuff
dollar points - it gets you high and aint total shit

Well my dealer told me that whenenver someone tells you the strain names theres a really good chance its made up, maybe thats only because i dont live in a state with medicinal marijauna though.

Around here in Cinci, I haven't ever come across anyone with names so there's no use worrying about it.

If you smoke casually or rarely, strain and quality barely matter. Even if I, a daily toker, were to take a week off and smoke brown, bricky dirt weed, I'd still be profoundly tossed. It's usually when you are in a situation in which you can smoke and celebrate herb freely and regularly that you find intrigue in the diversity and depth of cannabis. Just like a wine enthusiast appreciates different vintages and blends, a weed connoisseur will in a similarly artistic fashion, become discriminate and "snobby" and tolerate only the choicest varieties.

Alot of my initial evaluation comes from smell.. if I pop open that baggie and the smell knocks me away I can usually say it's good shit.. As for my dealer.. a couple of times he's said shit like "oh yeah this is some proper dutch" .. but I aint too fussed.

All weed is a particular strain. Even if your dealer doesn't know which one it is a certain strain. I didn't ask for one specifically but I always asked what it was. And does it piss anybody else off when people talk about dro like it's a strain?

it depends
if i'm just getting the normal $40/eigth of dank, no i dont care

if i'm paying extra for some ridiculously good bud, i'd SOMETIMES like to know what i'm getting. My dealer gets his stuff through a primo grower, he almost always knows what he's getting... occasionally, the guy plants bagseeds but that's prettty rare.

My two main dealers are always on deck with the dank. One dealer delivers and he's on deck with purple kush, AK47, blueberry, and white rhino. My other dealer is on deck with master kush and oh my God that shit smells so good. He also owns a Volcano and a pretty decent bong with an ash catcher and ice catcher.

You can tell the difference by the smell and the good smoke. Usually, I only get myself some kush and white rhino though.

I think knowing strain names are pretty important, so you can know how much you like that particular kind. After your initial experience with it, you can know whether to embrace or avoid that particular strain if you ever knowingly come into contact with it again.

most kush with fruit names.. is just kush with air fresheners put in them., but since it's "kush" it's extremely expensive... don't always listen to the stupid names.

EVerything i get is by strain names now coz i buy from a grower - or i grow it for myself. I never used to though. I prefer indicas so it's nice to know what strains i'm smoking. Indicas better for medicinal uses.
