At first I thought this was heat stress, since I added another light and the leaves got crispy. They were pretty dry so I watered and this one still looked peaked, so a day later I tried to flush a little- now there are two sick plants. Help?

Hi Demeter,

If those plants were in hydro my first question would be about the ph. You grow in soil though don't you?

Hi Weedhound, yes I do use soil. Now I ran out of Light Warrior on this group, and used soil with Miracle gro and I may have nute burned them. Is that possible? I have been less careful with this group and it shows:(

Well you're asking a hydro person BUT I'll be happy to give my wonderful two cents. :D I ask about ph because to me it looks as though there is something lacking....not too much of anything. in hydro the ph tells all....there could be what your plants need in your nutes but they aren't getting it due to improper ph. If that is not the case I'd say they are deficient in something but i'm afraid I don't know enough about soil nutes to say whether what you are using is ok or not.

Try this link and see if it helps you pinpoint the problem.....hope it helps.

The other thing that leads me to think it's some sort of def is the fact that you flushed.....and things got worse correct? Imo that's a better way to go than assuming a def in the first place and adding nutes....more leeway in a def than a burn.....ok i'm babbling... bye.....:)

You have a deficiency not a toxicity, that flushing put the nail in the coffin. Feed your plants a good NPK.

More light and more heat-> increased transpiration->aggravated any existing nute problems and if you aren't well ventiliated to begin with, possible suffocation as well. I think I can fix that for ya girly.

Let me bring you some micro supplement tomorrow when I come down tomorrow. Let's do some gardening.
